Fab Redux: Still Going Green

Yesterday may have been Earth Day, but I'm all for going green 365 days a year.

Yesterday may have been Earth Day, but I'm all for going green 365 days a year. Sometimes I take the phrase very literally, like with this pretty, vintage silk floral top ($32), but it's all about the mindset, right?

Besides, I'm killing two birds (oh no I didn't) with one stone: The top will look Fab tucked into a high-waisted skirt, and wearing vintage is more eco-friendly than buying something new. Check and check.

Wedding

Not Your Average Bridal Accessories

I know it's supposed to be all about the blushing bride's fabulous gown on her wedding day.

I know it's supposed to be all about the blushing bride's fabulous gown on her wedding day. But we're experiencing a resurgence in the power of accessories, so why not add a little flair to the matrimony mix? It can be as simple as white opera gloves or as dramatic as a Carrie Bradshaw-inspired bright yellow flowered pin. The rules are waiting to be broken, and you're the bride — it's your prerogative. Feathers, crystals, and flowers are all fun additions that will only add to the jollifications that lay ahead.

This Just In! Linda Evangelista to be Prada's Fall Face

Could it be true?!

Could it be true?! Move over Sasha, Fab favorite Linda Evangelista has been deemed the new face of Prada's Fall ad campaign. Is anyone else loving the return of the '90s supermodels as much as I am? First Christy for Escada, then Claudia for Chanel, and now Linda for Prada. I didn't really love Prada's Fall collection but Linda might be the only person to convince me otherwise. Now Guns n' Roses just needs to reunite and I'll be walking on air.

The Look For Less: Maria Sharapova's Black Tulip Skirt

Tennis star Maria Sharapova appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman looking quite the style maven in her black-and-white ensemble and to-die-for YSL sandals.

Tennis star Maria Sharapova appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman looking quite the style maven in her black-and-white ensemble and to-die-for YSL sandals. I don't normally look to sports figures for inspiration, but I have to give credit where credit is due . . . and Maria's black tulip skirt spurred a hunt to find something equally sexy but not equally pricey.

Sneak Peek! H&M Summer '08 Swim Collection

H&M's swim collection has been released, which means we can now look forward to super sunny days!

H&M's swim collection has been released, which means we can now look forward to super sunny days!

The new head of design Ann-Sofie Johansson made sure to incorporate colors and the ethnic trend. “We wanted to create something very colorful and light, with stand-out print. We were inspired by hot holidays in Africa, India, Hawaii and South America; hence ethnic-style prints such as tropical flowers and leaves, ikat designs, dip-dyes and ombre effects.”

H&M fans can expect bohemian maxi dresses, kimono-sleeved beach cover ups, and lots of earthy bikinis. Accessories include fringed scarves, African-inspired bold jewelery, and raffia-soled flip-flops and peep-toe espadrille wedges.

Celebrity Style

Celebrity Style: Lauren Conrad

Lauren went for a fresh, pared-down look to hang with Kanye at Goa in LA last night, wearing an Alexander Wang button-front minidress.

Lauren went for a fresh, pared-down look to hang with Kanye at Goa in LA last night, wearing an Alexander Wang button-front minidress. The stark white offsets her tan (and extended long locks) beautifully, and her understated accessories tie it all together. It's a nice change for Lauren without getting too dramatic, wouldn't you agree?

Freaky or Fabulous? Alana Savoir Feather-Infested Bride

When I think of feathers on a wedding dress, the last image that comes to mind is that of Alana Savoir's creation at Mexico Fashion Week.

When I think of feathers on a wedding dress, the last image that comes to mind is that of Alana Savoir's creation at Mexico Fashion Week. Feathers are supposed to lend delicateness but in this case, they have provided extreme harshness. The dress is a bit too busy in my opinion, but what really drowns the look is the feather headpiece; it reminds me of George Washington's colonial hairstyle. And as if there weren't enough feathers on the look, the model is carrying a peacock feather. Unnecessary, right? This is 100 percent freaky. Tell me you agree!
