Are we getting tired of celebrities trying their hand at designing clothes? A little. But I'm not tired of musicians trying just yet. Rihanna is proving to be quite the emerging fashion icon on stage, on the sidewalk, and on the fashion circuit. Here she is rubbing shoulders with John Galliano during Paris fashion week.

In a recent interview with Extra Rihanna reveals that she's over the cold weather — well, yeah — but also that a fashion line is in the works. She confesses to taking her time with it, though, as she wants it to be perfect and make sure it's cutting edge. There's something to be said about being a perfectionist and given the influx of celebrity designers, I can wait this one out to see if it will truly blow my flats off.

We've seen Peter Som's Fall '08 debut collection for Bill Blass, and I loved it so dearly, I want you to see it again, more close up.

A trunk show was held at the Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC, where the runway creations were brought to buyers and socialites. Notice them in the background, meticulously checking out Som's creations and determining which have the most selling power. The designer also made his first personal appearance to show off the clothes, which were well received. "We loved what Peter shared with us on the runway. I thought it recognized the roots of the Bill Blass that I know. Having a strong Bill Blass is so perfect because we have the customer for it at Saks," said Saks president Ron Frasch.

Speaking of attendees, America's Next Top Model Cycle Nine winner Saleisha Stowers was also a part of the show. Aren't you glad you came behind the seams?

Victoria Beckham hit LA's vintage haven Resurrection in a classy but, of course, sexy look. This is Posh we're talking about here. She isn't showing too much skin but manages to get the message across anyway with her extremely fitted pencil skirt and demure button down top. A patent doctors bag and her trademark oversized DVB sunglasses up the glam factor, which is offset by a chunky androgynous watch. Hot. Let's hope she bought the vintage Chanel bag she's caressing, I could never get tired of ogling that beauty.

Years past have brought Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, and Roberto Cavalli to H&M, but 2008 is the year of Comme des Garçons.

Although no specific details have been released, head Comme designer Rei Kawakubo is expected to produce men's, women's, and children's collections for the fast-fashion chain, as well as a unisex fragrance. The collection, which will likely incorporate Rei's stark avant-garde aesthetic, has a planned debut in H&M stores worldwide in the beginning of November. This one should be interesting!
