On Our Radar: Paige Denim Starts Contemporary Line
Paige Premium Denim is growing its business by delving into the contemporary market. Paige Black Label, set to debut on July 30, will take the fit focus of the jeans line and translate it into sophisticated fabrics and classic silhouettes. Among the pieces you can expect are wool wide-leg trousers, skinny leather pants, body-con dresses, and high-rise pencil skirts. Wholesale prices range from $95 to $361. The wide-leg wool trousers sound great to me for Fall.

A Few Fab Words With Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall

By now, we've heard from Sex and the City newcomer Jennifer Hudson and veteran Cynthia Nixon, and now it's time for the fabulously bold Kim Cattrall to speak up. As evidenced by the photo on the left, Samantha always took the time to match her shoes to her skirt suit to her purse, and though she never inspired me to do the same, her witty sex banter was integral to the show. Here, Kim shares her thoughts on her oversized hat, what she didn't get to keep, and where her character gets her confidence.
Did anything in your wardrobe stand out to you? That hat?
I loved them. Working with Pat Field is fantastic; she is so creative. Always with my stuff, because I have to do so much physical comedy, she would really listen to what I needed to make it work. That was really helpful. She would bring colors. I mean that beautiful hat in the guacamole scene.
Did you keep the hat?
No. You know they sent three huge boxes of things from SATC, and most of my stuff was not there. And the hat wasn’t there. And there were like three pairs of shoes. I went, what?! I said I wore those shoes, they can’t sell those, they can’t resell them. There’s a bulletin out for Samantha’s togs!

Liquid Gold Cate Blanchett: Love It or Hate It?
While Harrison Ford and crew attended the NYC premiere, Cate Blanchett represented the cast of Indiana Jones in her country, Australia. I'm so used to seeing Cate in long, elegant Armani gowns that it's a bit strange seeing her in something so . . . disco. I love her shoes, but the dress is ill-fitting. What do you think?
Sneak Peek! Target GO International Private Label Summer Collection
Target is on fire, and there are no firefighters around to put out the flames! As a follow-up to its first in-house Target GO International Private Label Spring collection, the company has come out with a Summer collection set to hit stores June 29. The collection of bikinis, one-shoulder ruffled tops, volume-sleeve tunics, and floral-print rompers will set you back a mere $14.99 to $44.99. Layering continues to be a significant trend. I don't know about you, but I'm digging all the vibrant floral patterns. What a fresh interpretation of the moody floral trend.

Fab Flash: The Next Generation in Fur

Fur is one, if not the most controversial subject in fashion. And I've got news for you: It's not going anywhere.
According to WWD, not only is the newest crop of designers supporting fur, but many are also trying to get licensing deals so they can have field days with it. The list of designers jumping on the fur train include Peter Som (Fall fur collar pictured), Chris Benz, Doo-Ri Chung, and Zac Posen. Despite a dip in fur sales last year, customers are currently more interested in smaller fur pieces like stoles and hats. But like many traditional fashion materials, fur needs a new perspective, an upgrade. As Peter Som puts it: "I love treating fur like I would any fabric — mixing textures, colors, and giving it an airy touch. It's all about creating romance and elegance. Fur ups the ante a thousand percent."

Casa Quickie: Conquer Clutter
Casa Quickie: Conquer Clutter
One of the most sensible ways to deal with clutter (and consumerism) is to abide by this rule: "Every time you bring something new into your home, something else must leave." Since I bring you wonderful home décor products day in and day out, you'd laugh in my face if I told you to stop shopping — wouldn't you?
Celebrity Style: Becki Newton
Forget, for a second, the fact that Becki Newton needs some matte control, and focus on her from the neck down. I love her almost all — but not really — black look. The blue sequin panel running down her Development dress is a fresh take on all-over sequins and a good option for those who like shine in small doses. The ivory shoes aren't my favorite, but her stacked bangles, black patent clutch, and satin jacket draw most of the attention anyway.

2008 Cannes Film Festival: Dita Von Teese
I always enjoy Dita because she's all about the drama. Lately, she's been wearing a lot of black, white, and black and white, so it's refreshing to see her in emerald green Christian Lacroix. You know she never leaves the house without perfect crimson lips and high-wattage hair. Are you enjoying Dita here too?
