Just because fashion designers don't play competitive sports doesn't mean they can't take part in the 2008 Olympics. Au contraire, mon frère. Hong Kong-based retailer Lane Crawford has enlisted the help of 12 of the world's most famous names — Ricardo Tisci, Burberry (left), Phillip Lim, and Stella McCartney, to name a few — for "The Collective: Synergy in Fashion." The looks will be showcased at several events throughout the Olympic season in Beijing this Summer. After August, all of the one-of-a-kind garments will be auctioned, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting UNICEF's Driving Dreams project. I've never been the athletic type, but this is dope.

Harem Pants

Wherever designer Alexander Wang goes, the cool kids follow. Such was the case last night when St-Germain and Satine boutique hosted a trunk show for the young designer. Not surprisingly, Wang's sidekick, model Erin Wasson, was there to party the night away despite her broken leg. After all, she has been helping him style his runway shows; they work hard so they play just as hard!

But it was semisurprising to see new mommy Nicole Richie because, though she wears a lot of black, I have never seen her in Wang's grunge-inspired clothes. No matter. Nic stayed true to herself and wore a sexy LBD, snakeskin pumps, and a Chanel clutch.

What you are looking at is a glimpse of what's to come at Urban Outfitters — they are teaming up with Fab favorite jewelry brand Erickson Beamon! Arriving at the end of this month, we can shop the colorful, quirky jewelry. To be specific, expect bejewelled, neon-orange butterflies and graphic shapes mixed with beading. Sounds perfect for some fun in the sun. Pricing won't be easy, though, at around $170 to $565. Hmmm, doesn't sound like the proper price point to me. And don't forget Urban will be bringing us Bing Bang jewelry in the Fall! Which are you more excited for?

Doesn't singer and now lingerie designer Jessica Simpson look so fun loving in NYC? Her legs look sizzling in a pair of Frankie B. cuffed shorts and lace-up Prada platforms. I love the playfulness of her chain-link necklace and the green Tempest bag from her Fall collection. Like always, we have a black Alexander McQueen blazer to thank for tightening the look and giving it some polish.
