Trend Alert: Patch Me Up

This ain't your grandma's patchwork. Modern patchwork on tops, dresses, bags and shoes, is spreading hippie love wherever it goes. Who knew Hilary Duff was such a flower child? She is singing the trend softly in her varicolored scarf. Start me up, patch me up!
Look of the Day: Precarious Posing
Anything for a great shot, right Myo? Her precarious posing paid off because she looks beautiful in her tiered summer frock and metallic gold sandals. Wish I was there!
Here's what she has on:
- Dress: Unknown
- Shoes: Banana Republic
- Earrings: Unknown
Congrats to Myo!

Beauty and the Geek: Lawmaker Wants Models Off Tech Visas
International geeks may be able to thank their beautiful counterparts for freeing up about 1,000 H1-B visas. Congressman Anthony Weiner, from New York, wants to end the practice of making foreign models and foreign hi-tech workers compete with each other for a limited number of work visas.
Come Fab Finding With Me: Garden Party

I wasn't lying when I said a light bulb went off in my head when I watched the video of Stella McCartney's garden party. Hence, I'm hosting a fun garden party for some close friends next weekend to recreate the resort fun. But this isn't any old garden party; I'm asking guests to dress up, a la Stella's latest collection. Think girly, sophisticated and ethereal.
I'll start you off with this Mesh Flower Headwrap ($16) because it's just the thing to get your creative juices flowing.
Let's go Fab Finding. Be sure to come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with Fab garden party.
Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits, and you can use your Fab-Find bookmarks, too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab-Finding missions.

Fab Ad: Coco Rocha For Neiman Marcus June 2008

Cutie Coco Rocha is featured in the latest Neiman Marcus catalog ads. The luxury department store's latest claim is, "Bold color may be the season's message, but pure white always looks right." I can't argue with that. Coco is seen biting Chanel, lying with pearls, and showing off watches. I admit that it's nice to see some neutrality amid all the bright colors calling our names this Spring, but will it make me buy? Not so sure. Unless of course, someone gives me a lump sum for the Chanel! What do you think?
Fab Finds of the Week: Quirky Flats
I'm a self-proclaimed flats queen, so I love that you all were feeling me this week. What's more exciting is that you didn't just find any old boring kinds. Your choices were quirky, each having something unique making them stand out. I'm so proud of your keen eye.
The Fab Finder of the week is saddyblue, because she found the quirkiest of the bunch, these Marc Jacobs Strappy Flat Boots. Talk about morphing madness!
Congrats to saddyblue, maria212134, jasmint, WhiplashGirlchild, QueenMargot, longhornlass04, and azulskies!
Look! We're Giving Away a Goldenbleu Audra Candy Convertible Clutch
It may appear that we're giving away one bag, per usual, but really, we're giving away two: a clutch and a coin purse! The latest beauty up for grabs, this Goldenbleu Audra Candy Convertible Clutch ($650), is one of the most versatile we've offered because it can be carried on the shoulder with the chain link handle and as a clutch sans the handle. Plus, the coin purse can be detached and used on its own.
To enter to win just log in and take our fun Goldenbleu quiz. Your eligibility is not based on getting the answers correct, just simply on taking the quiz once you are logged in. You do however, need to be a TeamSugar member to take the quiz. So if you're not already a member, register here for an account and to join in all the fun on the Sugar sites! One quiz entry per person; all repeat quizzes will be ignored. Remember: YOU MUST BE LOGGED IN TO TEAMSUGAR FOR YOUR VOTE TO COUNT. Just click on "take the quiz" below and I will do a random drawing on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at midnight PDT. U.S. residents eligible only (sorry!). Click here for the Official Rules.
Double Take: Costume National Hearts Rodarte
Just as I said that it's normal for fashion designers to draw inspiration from one another, one more case popped up to further prove my point. This time, Costume National looked to Rodarte's Fall '08 collection to create one of the pieces in its 2009 Resort line. The fashion world, moi-self included, were awestruck by Rodarte's innovative, beautifully crafted Fall gowns (left). I remember how airy yet strong they looked as they floated past me on the runway. Costume National's version is strikingly similar not only because of its lightness, but because of the abstract multicolor design and the one shoulder. I'm happy to see Rodarte's creativity being multiplied; it's too genius to only be enjoyed by the fashion elite.

The British are Coming! Topshop Readies to Hit America
We’ve been admirers of Topshop’s trendy and reasonably priced styles for a long time — especially the Kate Moss collections — but other than ordering it off of their British website and waiting for it to ship to the U.S., we haven’t had access. But that’s all going to change this fall! In October, Topshop is opening their first store in New York City and launching their U.S. website in September with most items set to be under $100.
