Charlize Theron

This Week's Fab Favorite: Charlize Theron

Every season a few items appear on the runways that you know are going to be superstars.

Every season a few items appear on the runways that you know are going to be superstars. Fall merchandise is not yet in stores — soon — but we are already seeing some stars wearing the aforementioned superstars on the red carpets. After all, celebrities who will help promote the house get first dibs. That being said, I predict we will see much more of this sharp Balenciaga LBD. I'm just glad the statuesque Charlize Theron wore it first. For the record, I am predicting Victoria Beckham will wear this one, too. At one of the Hancock premiere's, Charlize also chose to wear the decadent rhinestone bracelets that accompanied the slit-up-to-there dress on the runway. Man-eater shoes and slicked back hair toped off her power ensemble. I know we'll see more of this epic dress, just remember Charlize had first dibs.

Life's a Beach: Au Naturale

Sometimes we just need to go au naturale.

Sometimes we just need to go au naturale. Especially when skinny dipping is on the menu. Did I say that?! What I mean is, natural materials like wood, cork, bamboo, and natural colors like tan, beige, nude, can make someone feel at one with nature. Shoes of this nature are ideal for hot, tropical climates but also a Dolce & Gabbana party, right Kate? Whether city or seaside, going au naturale always feels so good.

Slow & Steady Wins the Race Basic Circle Lens: Love It or Hate It?

There aren't many people who can pull off these Slow & Steady Wins the Race Basic Circle Lens ($100) but I bet Mary-Kate Olsen can.

There aren't many people who can pull off these Slow & Steady Wins the Race Basic Circle Lens ($100) but I bet Mary-Kate Olsen can. In fact, I think she already has a similar pair! They remind me of plastic sunglasses you win at an amusement park. Are you kooky enough to pull these off?

Celebrity Style: Emmy Rossum

Designer Phillip Lim opened his first store in LA and naturally all of Hollywood's pretty young things flocked to his party.

Designer Phillip Lim opened his first store in LA and naturally all of Hollywood's pretty young things flocked to his party. Actress Emmy Rossum looked particularly smashing in her bright Phillip Lim draped dress. That mango color is yummy! But what's a dress without the right accessories? Emmy took her outfit from good to fabulous by wearing a black-leather belt, cool drop earrings, and a black bracelet by Cartier, and peep-toe pumps. I have no doubt Lim was proud.

On Our Radar: LC's Accessorizes Herself and Tells Us All About It!

Miss BellaSugar had the chance to chat with leader of The Hills at a Mark cosmetics event this week .

Miss BellaSugar had the chance to chat with leader of The Hills at a Mark cosmetics event this week . . . and you know she had my back! We got the scoop on Lauren Conrad's beauty secrets as well as her new accessories line in collaboration with Mark cosmetics. As you know, LC is a brand ambassador and the company is launching a campaign called m.Powerment, which aims to speak out against domestic violence. Right on. More news, Lauren is launching an accessories collection with Mark. Between her Lauren Conrad collection and her success with the show, Lauren is on the up and up. Oh, and in case you were wondering, the colorful printed dress she wore at this event is from her Holiday collection.

One item to note is the 'Have a Heart Necklace' that is (only) $22 and 100 percent of the proceeds go to charity. Here's what LC had to say about the special necklace:

“I collaborated with Mark in doing the ‘Have a Heart Necklace,’ which you have in front of you guys, and we are all wearing. They come in silver and gold, they are double-sided. They have the little stones on one side and the little heart on the back of the pendant. It retails for $22 and 100 percent of the profit goes to charity. It's basically the gist of the charity. It also comes with a little extender in the back so you can kinda adjust how long you want. It's also fun to layer with different pieces. It’s just a kind of an easy piece for people to wear.”

Is Racism Still an Issue? Are We Color Blind or Just Blinder?
Are race-y issues heating to a boiling point? Yesterday, Chinese-South Africans were given a surprising notification: according to a high court they're not any sort of Asian — they're actually black. The classification is supposed to make them eligible for government affirmative action policies aimed at making amends for apartheid.

Come Fab Finding With Me: Mountain Girl

Fab reader Musette needs our help!

Fab reader Musette needs our help! She's heading to Vancouver, Canada for a mountain vacation but the semi-cold weather (high 50s to 60 degrees) has her confused on what to wear. Help her find a casual yet chic look before she embarks on her mountain adventure.

I'll start you off with this Forever 21 Wrinkled Paisley Scarf ($8) because it will keep her warm from the lingering, cold wind.

Let's go Fab Finding. Be sure to come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with mountain vacation.

Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits, and you can use your Fab-Find bookmarks, too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab-Finding missions.
