Fab Finding Followup: Reservations at the Poshest Spot in Town

I already stayed in and cooked with my Lovah and now I'm ready to dine out!

I already stayed in and cooked with my Lovah and now I'm ready to dine out! I told you a best friend and I are hitting up one of San Francisco's newest, poshest restaurants. It has cool art pieces, expensive decor, and the elite of the city as patrons. This isn't just any old joint, so I needed help putting together an outfit that will make me stand out but not stick out. Let's see how wild your imaginations ran.

I started you off with this Forever 21 Coral Silk Scarf ($9) because it's versatile. I can wear it around my neck, bag, or hair.

Look # 1, created by Ashley2007, is fancy schmancy indeed. The nude silk dress is certainly chic.

Marni Two-Toned Sandal: Love It or Hate It?

These Marni Two-Toned Sandals ($731) have me a little confused.

These Marni Two-Toned Sandals ($731) have me a little confused. Is it supposed to be casual, dressy — or maybe a little bit of both? I'm a bit wishy washy with this one and need your help. Are you loving this hybrid of sport and chic?

This Just In! Target Double Whammy, Anya Hindmarch Bags and Sigerson Morrison Shoes

Target knows what a girl wants.

Target knows what a girl wants. Shoes and bags! They just announced two new designer accessory collaborations and I approve of both. The sixth handbag designer will be the witty and British Anya Hindmarch. The limited-time-only collection will be available at select Target stores nationwide and at Target.com October 12 through December 26. I see sleek shapes, metallic detailing and maybe a bow or two in our future . . .

As well, Target is partnering with Fab favorite footwear designers Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison to launch a limited-edition footwear collection, Sigerson Morrison for Target. This is the retailer's third footwear collaboration and it will available October 12 through December 26. If you need some feminine, comfy flats for holiday shopping here's your ticket. Are you as excited as I am?!

I Want This Wardrobe: Sex and the City Movie

What's better than Mexico?

What's better than Mexico? Why, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda in Mexico! Now if only they had filmed in Zihuatanejo during my trip. Oh well, next time. It's no surprise that the Fab four brightened the already-colorful background of their hot locale by wearing gorgeous swimsuits and cover-ups. Some of their outfit choices, mainly Samantha's, were too extreme for the average gal, but if you're a part of Sex and the City, you're anything but average. Oh, and if you want to know what they're cracking up about, go see the movie.

On Carrie

  • Shirt, Splendid
  • Hat, Hermes

On Miranda

  • Cover-up and Bathing Suit, Milly

On Samantha

  • Bathing Suit, Carmen Marc Valvo ($167)
  • Cover-up, House of Field
  • Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton

The Look For Less: Dolce & Gabbana Black Blazer

The black blazer is a classic.

The black blazer is a classic. It's versatile and sophisticated and can be mixed and matched in many ways. I like to pair mine with skinny jeans and serious heels. Adversely, I like to wear one with a breezy Summer dress. As you can see, the options are endless. This Dolce & Gabbana Blazer ($848, originally $1,130), will never go out of style. The price tag almost made me gag so I had to go search for a budget-friendly one.

Celebrity Style: Emmanuelle Chriqui

Zohan who? Actress Emmanuelle Chriqui was the one who dazzled the crowd at the premiere of Adam Sandler's new movie, You Don't Mess With the Zohan.

Zohan who? Actress Emmanuelle Chriqui was the one who dazzled the crowd at the premiere of Adam Sandler's new movie, You Don't Mess With the Zohan. How did she do it? With a satin, one-shoulder BCBG dress and killer caged sandals. She sort of reminds me of Anne Hathaway at the MTV Movie Awards because like Anne, she's a good girl dressed bad. Approved!

Nicole Kidman on YSL: “Meticulous and Exquisite”
Yves Saint Laurent had many beautiful and famous clients in his time, and until his retirement in 2002, he was still a hit with Hollywood. Nicole Kidman began as a client of Laurent’s himself — wearing a YSL gown to the 2002 Golden Globes — and continued her allegiance to the house with first Tom Ford and now Stefano Pilati at the helm.

Fab Flash: The Return of Thierry Mugler

Thierry Mugler is rumored to be making a resurrection at the upcoming Paris couture week.

Thierry Mugler is rumored to be making a resurrection at the upcoming Paris couture week. The French fashion house recently launched a beauty line named The Art of the Metamorphosis and was best known for bold, S&M-like clothing with serious shoulder pads. Under the direction of artistic director Rosemary Rodriguez, the house will show 21 pieces at the couture shows set for June 30 to July 3. A big Mugler fan myself, I hope this revival does the fierce brand justice.
