Hmmm. It's warm outside, but it might be chilly where I have to run errands — and pick up my caffeine fix at The Coffee Bean. What to wear? Elongated cardis are the perfect solution when you need a whisper-light layer. And, they're cool. They have a nonchalant attitude that you'll have, too. Just ask Ashley Tisdale, hand-in-hand with her man. Isn't life grand?
There's been lots of love for macho watches lately. I'll pass, but I love the look on others. DearSugar, quite the watch aficionado, pointed this Vintage Rolex® 14k gold "shell" Oyster Perpetual on riveted Oyster bracelet, circa 1960s ($5,200) out to me. It appears J.Crew is exclusively featuring vintage Rolex watches. It compliments J.Crew's cool, yuppy vibe, but I still refuse to spend that much on a timepiece. Thoughts?
Miley Cyrus's Budget-Friendly Style She may be a multi-millionaire, but 15-year-old Miley Cyrus knows how to shop on the cheap. The Hannah Montana star stocks up on little dresses — like this one from Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten — at stores like Steve & Barry's, Wet Seal, and Urban Outfitters.0 Comments
If you're an NYC gal you may be familiar with ILoveShop.com, as they have a store in town. The news is the store is moving — don't worry, it's just a few blocks away — but the better news is that their website is currently holding a moving sale of 25 to 50 percent off.
To please your indie spirit, browse online racks of Twinkle by Wenlan, Graham & Spencer, Sunner, Charlotte Ronson, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and beyond. This Antoinette Lee Anna Tote: Bone/Black ($266, originally $380) called out to me. Why do black and white look so darn good together?
An inspiring move was made by Spanish retailer Mango: modeling veteran Lauren Hutton will star in their upcoming Fall campaign. At 64, she proves that modeling isn't just for baby-faced babes. The campaign is praisingly called “We love you, Lauren” and was shot by photographer Antoni Bernard. Hutton will be showing off pinstripe shirts, a chunky knit minidress, and silk shorts. However, Hutton will be joined by young'un model Alice Dellal, who will vogue for Mango's denim campaign. We love Penelope Cruz in Mango clothes, and I have a feeling we'll love Lauren, too.
Purple leopards might not exist in the wilderness, but they sure do in the concrete jungle. Gabitzgabitz's leopard print top has me smitten and seeing dots; purple and black dots, to be exact. This whole ensemble is sleek and sexy. I also like how she's all over the lariat trend.
Here's what she has on:
- Shirt: Pull & Bear
- Skirt: Bershka
- Heels: Mudd
- Necklace: Unknown
- Bracelet: Unknown
Congrats to gabitzgabitz!
Everyone else, submit your looks and I might feature you on FabSugar!
Under the direction of new creative director and co-president Deborah Lloyd, look forward to a hefty crop of apparel from Kate Spade. After an initial launch exclusively in Kate Spade stores next Spring, the clothing collection will be available for wholesale in the Fall of 2009.
The full Spring collection, which is boasted by Lloyd to have more apparel than ever before, will sell at retailers including Saks, Bloomingdale’s, and Nordstrom. Being that last year's offerings were on the cutesy side, I hope this new collection turns out more fashion-forward.
The Scoop on Cate Blanchett’s $11,000 Shoes! French brand Roger Vivier is known for their pricey buckled shoes, which can range anywhere from $396 for signature flats to four digits for boots. For the Helpmann Awards this week in Australia, Cate Blanchett donned a pair of limited edition Roger Vivier Limelight America platform heels with sequined star detail and Swarovski crystal buckles. The shiny heels made the rest of Roger Vivier’s heels look downright affordable with a startling $11,000 price tag!0 Comments
