I Love Your ShopStyle Style: Inspiration Board

To say that binky is a ShopStyle fanatic would be an understatement. The user has created 212 pages of fashion fabulousness, and she shows no signs of stopping. But it's all about quality, not quantity, and binky's quality of work is impressive. I'd like to deem her stylebook an inspiration board because she creates outfits based on what she's currently inspired by.
Take for instance this magical photo; it has provided fodder for her latest creation. See what I mean? Awesome.
The Bag to Have: Whitney Port's Gucci Hysteria
Whitney Port may be the lowest-paid reality star on The Hills, but that's not stopping her from buying herself covetable accessories. While hanging out with her new beau in NYC recently, she showed the world her gorgeous Gucci Hysteria Bag ($1,395). It goes hand-in-hand with Gucci's fabulously folky Fall collection and gives Whit's hippie tie-dye look a touch of exotic. The tapestry design reminds me of a plush Persian rug. Swoon.
FABTV: "My Name Is William Rast, and This Is My Life"
The Justin Timberlake William Rast videos, with model Erin Wasson as girlfriend and partner-in-crime, are unfolding. Here are three, back-to-back, to help you get to know William Rast. Timberlake will be performing twice during Fashion Week — at Fashion Rocks and his William Rast runway show. JT is trying to get in with the fashion folks for sure.
For me, William and lover kinda fall flat. Is it me or are they trying too hard? Too hard to be cool? They look great on camera, duh, and the cinematography is eerily interesting. But the smoking, swearing, cuts and bruises, rugged styles, and foreshadowing of a doomed relationship are too obvious. I hope the remaining videos are more action-packed and we see what kind of trouble these two beautiful people get into. Also, the lighting is dark and moody; makes for a dramatic effect but we can't really see the clothes.
Fab's Favorite Shoes of Fall
If I showed you my favorite bags of Fall you know shoes are soon on their way. They are my Achilles’ heel, after all. While flats never get much love on the runways, higher-than-high heels make for terrific theatrics. Case in point: Rodarte's Louboutin studded platforms — killer, right? These may have been one of the most shocking shoe stories of the season, but there's more where that came from. And don't forget, I already highlighted some destined-to-rule-the-red-carpet shoes. I just couldn't help myself to more . . .
The Scoop on YSL’s Fall Fashion Manifesto
The Scoop on YSL’s Fall Fashion Manifesto Even with Yves Saint Laurent’s passing this year, his namesake company and spirit for innovation lives on. YSL designer Stefano Pilato has created a “Manifesto” with photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and featuring Naomi Campbell in the Fall/Winter 2008 collection.
CommentsFab Flash: Rei Kawakubo and Louis Vuitton Collaboration
Two fashion worlds collided in a recent collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Rei Kawakubo. The Japanese designer behind Comme des Garçons, known for her simple and avant-garde styling, has designed an exclusive collection of evening bags for the monogram heavy luxury label.
“Due to our clever coordination, I anticipate that the wall between us will disappear. Funnily enough, I have never actually bought anything [at Vuitton], but I probably will buy a party bag next week,” said Kawakubo .
Kawakubo's six handbag designs, debuting next Wednesday in Tokyo, range from classically styled evening bags to '70s inspired shapes adorned with charms and multiple leather straps such as the bag pictured above.
