Many years ago, Diane von Furstenberg and Andy Warhol hooked up at Studio 54. Not that type of hookup, silly! DVF posed for one of Warhol's iconic portraits (see below). Once again, the designer will be collaborating with the late artist, through The Andy Warhol Foundation, to create a 2008 Resort and 2009 pre-Spring swimwear collection featuring Warhol's prints.

“Andy’s Pop colors and iconic images feel glamorous and right for beach,” said von Furstenberg. The collection of beach-worthy items will use bright hues and big-leaf colors printed on bikinis, caftans, and one-piece suits. “Andy and I were contemporaries, so it feels right,” said von Furstenberg.

Cosabella is back with a Fall Sex and the City lingerie collection. They seem to have Carrie's and Samantha's personas down — pink lace for Carrie and steamy animal prints for Samantha — but something went haywire in the design department when designing for the other ladies of Sex and the City.

Charlotte's pea green sleepwear is dull and drab in comparison to her bubbly personality, while Miranda's line looks too cute and girlie with offerings of brown and pink lace undies. Kind of disappointing since the Spring collection was spot on. What do you think?

I never considered wearing a beaded rope necklace until I came across one in the jewelry sale section at Macy's. I mean, for $6, I couldn't refuse. Although I bought it to use mainly as a bracelet, it evolved into a necklace at a recent event. These Appartement a Louer Beaded Rope Necklaces ($175 each), similar to mine, are really nice, but not worth the money.

Spaghetti Strap

Very thin shoulder strap used on camisoles, cocktail dresses, and evening gowns, named for its resemblance to the thin pasta strings called spaghetti. Some institutions think spaghetti straps are immodest and therefore ban spaghetti-strapped clothing.
