Before dressing up for her book launch party, Lauren Conrad took care of some last-minute shopping. She looked cute and stylish in a simple outfit of jeans and a t-shirt, but it was her accessories (like the AU79 necklace) that made this outfit special. Current/Elliott's Deadstock Denim
Emily Current and Meritt Elliott are flipping the switch this Fall with a new denim line called Deadstock. Unlike their namesake line, which is known for its deconstructed and distressed styles, Deadstock is the complete opposite with clean lines and a preserved feel. “Meritt and I were wearing boyfriend jeans every single day, and we kept saying, ‘I want to be a rockabilly. I want to wear dark jeans with saddle shoes,’ ” said Current. “That was how the idea started.” The line — wholesaling between $58 and $90 — will be available in July at high-end retailers. The '50s-, '60s-, and '70s-inspired collection will offer skinny, wide-legged, and the duo's iconic boyfriend cuts. “[Real] deadstock is a little stiff and sometimes not as flattering on the body. We cheated a bit,” said Elliot. Another hit for Current/Elliot?
