Travel Style: Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger touched down at the Berlin Tegel airport ready to face the cold.

Diane Kruger touched down at the Berlin Tegel airport ready to face the cold. She bundled up under a cream knit beanie, gray pea coat, faded blue jeans, and flat back booties. For extra style and warmth, she smartly tied a black and while silk scarf around her neck, one very similar to this Givenchy option, and completed the look with a bone-colored tote. Paint It Black — Fab's 30-Day Fashion Challenge!

Looking to shake up our fashion fascination, we're embarking on a fashion challenge — care to join?

Looking to shake up our fashion fascination, we're embarking on a fashion challenge — care to join? Ask Fab what our favorite colors are, and black will be at the top of the list. It is fashion's official color, after all. Safe, yes, but also dramatic, chic, and flattering. I'm not just singing praise for black because Stevie Nicks once said blondes look great in black; I'm advocating it because it's totally versatile and always appropriate.

Need further proof? Team Fab is here to deliver. For the next 30 days, we're going to show you our attempts at head-to-toe black leading up to New York Fashion Week, where black is omnipresent. Three different women, three different styles, three different bodies — one color.

Join our Paint It Black fashion group to feed the challenge. My kickoff outfit is part Kate Moss-inspired, part Cool Rider-inspired. You can't go wrong in cool booties, sexy jeans, a black v-neck sweater, and mixed jewels. Click over to see my PIB outfit details and start painting yourself black!

Trend Alert: Hot Little Frocks

You loved Lea Michele's.

You loved Lea Michele's. And what's not to love about Kristin Cavallari and Amber Valletta's? Absolutely nothing. They're sexy, they're fun, they turn heads, they are hot little frocks . . . in a rainbow of candy colors. Amber is perfectly posing in Roland Mouret's orange Rainbow collection dress, while Kristin chose my favorite color as her birthday dress last weekend. It's the middle of January — not everyone can pull these off right now — but they'll serve as perfect wedding attendee dresses and hot-date fodder for the Spring, so start your ShopStyle search engines.

Elin Nordegren looked casually cute while making a school run in Florida. She layered light Winter pieces to make a perfectly weather-appropriate outfit, consisting of a hooded ivory down vest, a Free People short-sleeved sweater, denim leggings, and gray Ugg boots. Her silver accessories tied in nicely with her warm color palette and black rectangular shades, which kept her eyes shielded from the sun. The memory game was one of my favorites growing up.

The memory game was one of my favorites growing up. Street style is one of the current places I draw inspiration. You can imagine my excitement when I discovered the Street Style Memory Game ($18). It doesn't release until March, but I already know I'll be addicted. It will be fun and provide further outfit inspiration. Win, win!

Fab Ad: Dree Hemingway For Gianfranco Ferre, Spring '10

We were fascinated a while ago — we still are — but so are Gianfranco Ferré designers Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi.

We were fascinated a while ago — we still are — but so are Gianfranco Ferré designers Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi. The design duo chose the famous great-granddaughter to model their dramatic Spring collection. “We know she’s very trendy right now, but she really reflects the feminine and sensual message of the spring collection,” said Aquilano. Also look out for Hemingway in Mango's Spring ads, alongside Scarlett Johansson.

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin snapped the sepia-toned black-and-white scene in a New York studio. The graphic cross-shaped structure provides cool contrast to the flowing fabrics. Dree looks pretty fantastic, as do the clothes. Are you smitten?
