Doo.Ri turned out stunning blue and black combinations, marble and diamond-shaped prints, and even some basic winter staples like the motorcycle jacket and military pants. The biggest runway highlight: a smattering of crystal, beads, and sequins in the most unlikely of places!
Yigal Azrouël's 2010 Fall Fashion runway collection was a mix of moods: soft and sexy draping juxtaposed with structured suit leg silhouettes, a muted neutral palette accented by a punch of color, and a play on masculine and feminine forms. According to Azrouël, the hybrid of different garments and fabrics creates new silhouettes and pseudo layers for Fall.
Yigal always delivers it. Cool, constructed, casually sexy. For Fall, he honed in on tailoring. Concurrently, he played with new fabrications and colors. Just when the runway was seeming sedate, Azrouel sent out a one-sleeved Swarovski-emblazoned black minidress and glittering brown sheer blouse. Long-sleeved fluid maxi dresses were also stunning, in the utmost understated way. These appeared in rouge, gris, and a gorgeous purple pansy; sexy banded back details were killer. Eclectic touches like circuitry embroidery, peplums, pinstripes, and varitextured sleeves triggered interest. No Yigal collection is complete without perfect trousers and die-hard leather jackets. And can someone please tell me who sang the last runway song?! Was it The Kooks? . . .

Perhaps it's a coincidence, or not, but I've noticed that celebs are feeling all shades of blue this week. I had to be careful to not make this entire selection blue! Someone not wearing blue but looking stunning as ever was Zoe Saldana at the amfAR gala. Her ethnic-print Louis Vuitton dress is avant-garde enough to be interesting but not wacky. This girl gets it.
