Louise Roe predicts Fall 2010’s top trends will fall into two categories: feminine or futuristic.

Louise Roe predicts Fall 2010’s top trends will fall into two categories: feminine or futuristic. In one camp, designers like Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera, and Monique Lhuillier are taking cues from Old Hollywood silhouettes as seen on the red carpet from celebrities like An Education’s Carey Mulligan and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks. In the other camp, fashion-forward thinkers Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Yigal Azrouël and Project Runway winners Christian Siriano and Irina Shabayeva are taking a more avant-garde, Avatar-inspired take on what’s to come.

These fresh kicks are ultra-comfy, and I'm loving the artsy heel. Oh, the rest of the outfit? A pair of riding pants to go with my Mary-Kate Olsen-inspired equestrian belt and cocoon coat. Happy Friday!
