Louise Roe predicts Fall 2010’s top trends will fall into two categories: feminine or futuristic. In one camp, designers like Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera, and Monique Lhuillier are taking cues from Old Hollywood silhouettes as seen on the red carpet from celebrities like An Education’s Carey Mulligan and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks. In the other camp, fashion-forward thinkers Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Yigal Azrouël and Project Runway winners Christian Siriano and Irina Shabayeva are taking a more avant-garde, Avatar-inspired take on what’s to come.

Paint It Black — Fab's 30-Day Fashion Challenge! Fresh Kicks
Alexander Wang has rescued me from my mid-Winter slump. See, I've been eying his Ines oxfords for a couple months now and finally bit the bullet. They arrived this week, so of course I had to share. These fresh kicks are ultra-comfy, and I'm loving the artsy heel. Oh, the rest of the outfit? A pair of riding pants to go with my Mary-Kate Olsen-inspired equestrian belt and cocoon coat. Happy Friday!

Both babes prove you can have it all and then some.

Project Runway Fashion Quiz: Season 7, Episode 4 "Design Your Heart Out"
While most challenges on Project Runway involve svelte models, last night's episode was all about real women. And not just any real women, but ones who have had to overcome a disease. It was inspiring to hear their stories, both for the audience and the designers. Some even got teary eyed during their consultations. It was yet another round of amazing creations.
