Julianne Moore showed off her shoulders in a sleek LBD at the Comedy for a Cure event in NYC.
What excites me about this week's favorites are all the prints. Kate Bosworth is a sight of Spring in her navy and white print sundress and neutral accessories. In addition, we witnessed leopard, artsy prints, Missoni knits, and even a star-spangled cameo. Gives me print fever. And you thought after the Costume Institute Met Gala there would be nothing left to impress. Can I prove you wrong?
When thinking of clothing company American Apparel, many things spring to mind. Ethical, playful, slightly provocative and risqué . . . brutally honest and real. Proudly flaunting their American-made, sweatshop-free garments in quite daring campaigns, the company — founded by the somewhat controversial Dov Charney — have always stated that the stars of their adverts are indeed normal people, some even being employees of AA, something which has never been doubted until Jezebel revealed that some of the women were "definitely models".
For Fall '10, Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci decided to stir the pot by featuring a transgender model in his ad campaign. Joining the top model ranks with Mariacarla Boscono, Joan Smalls, Ming Xi, Catherine McNeil, and Malgosia Bela — we love her pink hair — is Riccardo's personal assistant, Lea T. (previously known as Leo, here in the red lips). "She’s always been very feminine: superfragile, very aristocratic," said Tisci, who also noted Lea T. will be starting a new career in veterinary medicine in Milan. What are your thoughts on this feminine-masculine dichotomy?
If you've got a quintessential look, stick with it. Nicole Richie rocks bohemian glam like nobody's business — especially when it comes to Missoni. Nicole chose a classic Missoni maxi for Derek Blasberg's book launch party in LA last night — remember we were just hanging with him up here in SF Tuesday night? Loads of jewelry and a red leather clutch emphasize her festive flavor.

Malin Akerman was photographed at The Ivy in LA, the ultimate place to be seen. She looked casual in a long navy tunic and gray skinny jeans, but her black wedge booties made her ensemble a bit more dressy. She accessorized with an interesting clear plastic tote, which matched her clear cat-eye sunglasses, and threw on a layered chain necklace for a finishing touch. Shop like items now!
