What a fantastic dress. I loved this pink and white Gucci Ikat dress when January Jones wore it to a pre-Golden Globe Awards party in January. It's girlie, yet modern. Taraji P. Henson chose the same frock for an evening at Cipriani with Mary J. Blige and friends last night. Both ladies opted for black shoes, but January's are satin pumps and Taraji's are architectural sandals. JJ grabbed a small black purse (you can sort of see it on the table next to her), and Taraji a pearl white clutch. Lastly, Taraji wore David Yurman drop earrings and fun teal nail polish. Who wins — less or more?!
You know it's Summertime when celebs are wearing brights and whites. I can't help but wish I were sandwiched between all these fabulous globetrotters in Tuscany; do you think Bianca Brandolini D'Adda, Marie Louise Scio, Yvonne Scio, Margherita Missoni, and Delfina Delettrez Fendi decided to complement each other in luxurious brights and neutrals? Margherita in her knit crop top and Delfina in her nude and neon Valentino, which, by the way, pits her against Dree Hemingway in the same Fab frock. Click on for more inspiring styles . . .
Gwyneth Paltrow attended Ralph Lauren's Wimbledon party in London looking both festive and sporty. She wore a black one-shoulder minidress with some lust-worthy Givenchy zipper sandals, a long pendant necklace, and a snakeskin clutch. Feminine jewelry and a pretty pink pout completed the look. Lauren Conrad suited up in the navy this week — and she wasn't the only one sporting the trend. Jessica Biel also donned a playful Erin Fetherston jumpsuit in the same deep sea hue. And why not? This is an easy silhouette, and the moody midnight color is a chic Summer alternate for your basic black. The key is to work the sexy angle to avoid looking like you're in uniform. Try a little ruffle à la Lauren, or go strapless and bare some skin — anchors away!
