Yigal Azrouël’s Spring 2011 collection was a mélange of flowing chiffons and sheers. Azrouël’s airy fabrics were paired with more structured textures in shades of melon, olive, and pink, with special attention to back draping and detail. Tailored jackets and pants punctuated the feminine look with some masculine accents.
For his newest Spring 2011 collection, Ralph Lauren featured traditional Americana with a Victorian twist, as well as a strong cowboy trend. We saw his usual floral prints, riding pants, and romantic dresses, as well as high necklines, embroidered lace, and neutrals like khaki and camel. With his anything goes styling, we especially loved his Navajo-inspired bags.
Charlize Theron looked stylishly chic as she made her way through LAX airport. She was totally on-trend wearing a bevy of neutral items, including an oatmeal-colored sweater, champagne shirt, and a satin trench. A green tote, skinny jeans, and sunglasses livened it up. Vera Wang's Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week runway collection was pure Vera: romantic frocks in beautiful fabrics mixed with perfectly-tailored pants with shimmery textures. The show boasted some big names in the audience, including Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Vogue's Editor at Large Andre Leon Talley, and even Serena Williams.
Tory Burch's Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week presentation featured bright coral and lemon colors, with gold accents and nudes intermixed. With chunky shoes, long dresses and skirts, pleated pants, touches of stripe and models in pulled-back ponytails, the collection on display was definitely a memorable one.
