Celeb Style: Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez hit the red carpet in short sequin shorts from Forever 21 and a sheer blouse at The Thing premiere in LA. She added a little edge to her feminine ensemble with black cage peep-toes and smokey eye makeup. We picked a burgundy Treesje bag to finish off Selena's premiere style. Shop like items now to re-create this look.
Celeb Style: Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie debuted lighter locks while rocking Navajo-print Isabel Marant skinny jeans and a black Vanessa Bruno jacket in LA. She played into her monochromatic theme with a black Givenchy bag and House of Harlow accessories — strappy sandals and cat-eye sunglasses. Get Nicole's exact pants, jacket, and bag here.
Trendspotting: Houndstooth Prints
We're in love with this season's infatuation with '50s chic in the way of pencil skirts, sheath dresses, and, most recently spotted on celebs, houndstooth prints. The traditional check pattern, which dates all the way back to the 1800s, was recently spotted on Jayma Mays, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kim Kardashian, all showing fresh variations on how you can wear the trend this Fall. Jayma recently worked it in a casual ensemble pairing a Rachel Zoe houndstooth blazer with a cute ASOS horse-print sweater, fitted Bec + Bridge skirt, and pumps — perfect for a day at the office. Gwyneth provided inspiration for a high-contrast polished look wearing a Stella McCartney coat with red peep-toe booties. We love how the coat easily doubles as a jacket and dress. For a more downtown cool aesthetic, just look to Kim's black separates, thigh-high Christian Louboutin boots, and a tan houndstooth cape. We're convinced that houndstooth is hot; if you are too, just shop our editors' picks in the widget below.
