5 Last-Minute Stops For Hilarious Halloween Costumes
Halloween is only five days away, so if you haven't found your costume yet, it's time to get going. With the pressure mounting for high-impact looks, we're turning to five of our favorite Halloween shops, each with its own stock of hilarious goods for outfitting the perfect costume. These stores are loaded with the right stuff, from full-bodied suits to minimal-effort-required accessories. Sometimes all it takes is a little quirky-cool gear like a pair of hilarious black photo bar glasses ($12) or Sue's Glee megaphone ($15) to pull together your costume on the fly. In any case, all the resources are here and the countdown is on — click through to find what you need fast!
Having a Moment: Fuchsia
The color might seem like something you find on tropical prints or Summer dresses, but the color is ripe for Fall, and it's giving red a run for its money as the sexiest color to wear. We saw it on the Fall 2011 runways at Gucci and Bottega Veneta, and now we're seeing it pop up on the red carpet and in stores. Freida Pinto looked stunning in a custom-made Salvatore Ferragamo dress, Sarah Jessica Parker has sported her fuchsia jacket with jeans and for evening with a leather jacket, and Olivia Wilde wore fuchsia shoes with her J. Mendel dress. We found some great fuchsia pieces to add to your wardrobe instead of the more traditional red.

Bundle Up Stylishly in These Chunky Cardigans
Among our Fall cravings, a chunky, soft knit we can snuggle up in is practically an essential. This season, we're particularly drawn to the ones grandpa used to wear — albeit injected with a dose of cool a la Isabel Marant. It's the comfy functionality we're after with quintessentially cool Fall style elements like great prints, rich textures, and sweet toggles to liven up our denim and top off our layers. Just click through to find your perfect comfy-cozy cardi.
These Celebs Rock an Edgy Alternative to Fall's Preppy Classics — and You Can, Too
If the bookish look isn't your thing, there's a tougher approach to Fall dressing that's more school rebel than teacher's pet. Swapping out the classics for edgier wear, these celebrity stylers are making quite the case for moody palettes and leather accents. Their street style is based on the same tough-girl pieces we swooned over at Balmain and Alexander Wang — think leather sleeves, slick blazers, and motorcycle boots. To help guide your look, we've culled 15 of our favorite fashion crowd examples — from Nicky Hilton's bundled-up cool to Diane Kruger's darkly chic Chanel separates — and pulled the pieces you need to replicate their edgy coolness. Halloween Costume Idea: Iconic Photographer Bill Cunningham
Bill Cunningham is a fashion fixture — and the cutest photographer we know. With his documentary, aptly titled Bill Cunningham New York, released earlier this year, Bill and his signature blue jacket are high on the pop culture radar, and for good reason. He's been capturing street style for the New York Times since the '70s. We think this would make for a totally unique, ultracomfortable, and ultimately functional costume (everyone will want you to take their pic!). Want to be Bill? Click the links to shop.

Celeb Style: Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria joined Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde to unveil their Glamour Reel Moments project at the Director's Guild of America in LA. Eva donned a structured Victoria Beckham frock and black satin Brian Atwood pumps. She kept her accessories to a minimum — black belt and small silver hoops — while we added a burst of color with a kelly green coat and stud Christian Louboutin clutch.
