Countdown to NYE: Cara Delevingne's Rocker-Cool Sequins

Cara Delevingne always rocks even the daintiest of looks with a undeniable tough-girl swagger, and we're especially gaga over this gold sequined look — the model wore head-to-toe Burberry to a recent event, pairing her sparkly, ladylike, low-cut dress with a wide black leather belt and combat-style Tory Burch ankle boots. We love how fearlessly she added grungy-cool accents, giving the look a bit of unexpected edge that's perfect for showing off at a party. Most Talked-About Piece of 2011? Miu Miu's Sparkly Booties!

While Celine's iconic structured tote bag and The Row's $39,000 backpack certainly got tongues wagging, it's official — this year's most talked-about accessory were Miu Miu's sparkly statement booties. You loved (or hated) them, we coveted them, and everyone from Alexa Chung and Diane Kruger to Anna Dello Russo rocked them on the red carpet. The Fall 2011 crisscross glitter ankle boot topped just about every fashion magazine and style blog must-have list, so we're not surprised Miu Miu's playful shoes were both in demand and constantly sold out; that's the definition of a seriously memorable piece. With that said, we have to give props to the other talked-about contenders: Prada's flatforms, that outrageously expensive Row backpack, and Celine's handbag were all close runners-up for top accessory honors. Here's to another year of awesome pieces we can't wait to talk about.
Look of the Day: Urban Cowgirl

Fab reader Vane Elliemae styles an Anthropologie maxi skirt with a J.Crew denim button-down for a flowing, urban cowgirl look. Nine West booties keep the skirt off the floor, and the slouchy Fendi spy bag is the perfect daytime companion. Chanel sunglasses, chunky bracelets, and a layered collar necklace boost the glam factor.
Congrats to Vane Elliemae!
