Met Gala Trend: Red Dresses
The sexiest of colors dominated the evening, as Met Gala attendees chose every shade of red to make their sartorial statement. From Jennifer Lopez's berry red Gucci dress to Gisele's fire-engine red McQueen, it was an evening to indulge in-your-face color. Check out our slideshow to see all the red-hued beauty from the, ahem, red carpet.
Met Gala: The Ladies of Alexander McQueen
Tonight's Met Gala theme was Savage Beauty, honoring the late Alexander McQueen, so it was fitting that some of McQueen's closest friends and fans donned his designs on the red carpet. Models and celebrities, like Gisele Bundchen, Daphne Guinness, and Naomi Campbell all showed off different looks from McQueen's past collections. Each and every look took us back to McQueen and all of the greatness he created during his lifetime — check out the slideshow to see who wore what and why we loved it.

Met Gala: Penelope Cruz
New mom Penelope Cruz took a break from her baby for the evening to be Oscar de la Renta's date to the Met Gala. In a sweeping tiered black gown of de la Renta's design, she looked statuesque, and she made the ensemble soft and romantic with soft wavy hair and smoky gray-black eye shadow. Do you think the gown flattered Penelope's postbaby figure?

Met Gala: Leighton Meester
Leighton Meester is known for pushing the envelope, and at the Met Gala she's opted for something that's edgy, but not too over the top. Sporting a black cutout Louis Vuitton, Leighton completes her style with laced gladiators and dangling triangular-shapped earrings. She keeps her makeup simple, except for a touch of black winged liner on her upper lash lines. Do you think Leighton's look packs just the right amount of punch, or do you think she could have upped the ante?

Met Gala: Jessica Szohr
Jessica Szohr showed off her rocker aesthetic at the Met Gala tonight in a short black mini and a razor straight hairdo. The dress, adorned with metallic tinsel and tiered ruffles, emoted a fun and youthful vibe, but do you think it was suitable for such a high-fashion event?

Met Gala: Amy Adams
Looking statuesque in her column gown, Amy Adams wore L'Wren Scott to the 2011 Met Gala. The focus was definitely on the dress, but eyes were drawn to her black bag, onyx earrings, and braided hair too. A dramatic eye amped up the appeal. Overall it's a safe, but gorgeous, look for Amy. Do you love?

Met Gala: Ciara
Ciara chose a regal, gradient-hued Prabal Gurung gown for the Met Gala red carpet. A simple stack of bronze bangles accentuated the dress. She wore her hair in long, loose waves, and showed off her enviable cheekbones with a touch of bronzer. Her brown smoky eyes and nude lips were also a smash hit. Do you love or loathe Ciara's red-carpet look?

Met Gala: Anna Dello Russo
On her website, Anna posted her top 10 rules for the Met Gala. Did she follow them? She chose a McQueen suit rather than a dress and accessorized with an egg headpiece. Statement making? Absolutely. But would it be your vote for Anna's Met Gala debut? Let us know.

Met Gala: Karolina Kurkova
It's hard to not look gorgeous when you're a supermodel like Karolina, and tonight was no exception. Opting for a Jean Paul Gaultier dress, Karolina simply beamed in black and white. We love the lace-like detail at the shoulders and skirt, as well as her complementary makeup choices — I spy both black and white on her eyelids. A strong red lip finishes it off. What do you think of Karolina's Met Gala look?
