Max Mara showed a white suit for its resort 2011/12 collection, but we're seeing it already thanks to stellar appearances by Halle Berry and Rihanna. Halle chose a more classic silhouette in her Roberto Cavalli, while Rihanna went for a slouchier silhouette in her Max Azria suit. The white suit is a crisp go-to; polished and sharper than your Summer dresses, and it's a nice way to change up your wardrobe. Balmain is known for its crazy expensive clothes — think $1,400 t-shirts — so we were stoked to hear that the Parisian brand is set to launch a more affordable collection. Price points are still under wraps, but we do know that the collection, dubbed Pierre Balmain, will be created by a second design team and overseen by Balmain's new head designer, Olivier Rousteing. Elle Macpherson is adding a bridal line to her collection of sexy, luxurious lingerie, according to an article in today's WWD. The 14-piece collection, done in a palette of lemon, cream, and white, has lacy bra and panty sets, sophisticated corsets, and silk camisoles. It's sophisticated and elegant, and Macpherson said her goal was to design lingerie that "makes the bride feel extra beautiful on the day." The collection will range from $31-$100.
