The 19th annual Elle Women in Hollywood event took place last evening and honored some successful leading ladies in film. From Cate Blanchett to Elle Fanning, women of all ages were celebrated that night — and we were on the carpet to catch all the action! Elle talked about her fashion-forward style and her controversial relationship with jeans, Emma Watson dished on her Calvin Klein dress, and Emma Stone stole the night in hot pink. Watch today's Fab Flash for all the details! On Allison McNamara: Shoshana dress, Anna Dello Russo for H&M earrings.
How many Gossip Girl spoiler alerts can you take in one day? We were already treated to photos of Leighton Meester in an Elie Saab gown on the set of the show earlier today, and now it's apparently Serena's turn to walk down the aisle. Blake Lively was clad in a gorgeous gold strapless Georges Chakra Couture gown that exploded into a white tulle bottom. She accessorized with chunky jeweled drop earrings and an oversize gold cocktail ring. We're sure this wasn't a stretch for Blake, who recently tied the knot with Ryan Reynolds, but we have yet to see if her real-life dress stacks up to Serena's full-blown glamour girl gown. What do you think of Ms. van der Woodsen's dress (and more importantly, her groom)?
Printed pencil skirts are all the rage in Hollywood right now. They all have a ladylike silhouette but totally spunky prints and colors. Everyone from Hailee Steinfeld to Olivia Palermo to Solange Knowles to Mandy Moore has been spotted in various styles. Choose an in-your-face skirt like Hailee's, something more serious like Olivia's Tibi black and white printed pencil skirt ($295), a funky skirt like the J.Crew blue houndstooth one Solange wore, or something subtle like Mandy's black and blue skirt. To get started, shop Olivia's exact skirt, as well as our other favorite printed pencil skirts, below!
Emmy Rossum dazzled in a black-and-white ensemble at a private listening party for Chris Mann's new album in LA. The actress paired a sleeveless jewel-collar Gerard Darel blouse with a black leather Kymerah pencil skirt and matching patent platform pumps. She finished off her party style with diamond-accented hoops, a perfect topknot bun, fiery red lipstick, and a black snakeskin clutch. Mimic Emmy's polished style with a white embellished-collar blouse, leather pencil skirt, and black patent pumps for date night, a work function, or an upcoming holiday party, then as temperatures start to cool layer this red-hot BCBGMAXAZRIA peacoat ($278) and a houndstooth scarf for instant pizazz.
When Valentino accessorized his runway with a bevy of studded clutches and handbags, he set off one of Fall's biggest bag trends. The proof is in this crew of celebrities who've taken the trend from the runway to real life with Valentino, Burberry, and more of this season's coveted studded clutches and bags in tow. With just a smattering of cool studs to lend sparkle or oversize studs for edgier interest, these bags put a glamorous spin on rocker-chic that goes with just about anything in our closets. Click through to see who's wearing them — like style setter Poppy Delevingne and Kate Hudson — and how they're styling them; then shop the latest celebrity bag trend for yourself.

Varsity jackets are having a moment, and the latest to hop on the trend is Karolina Kurkova. The supermodel showed off a black and white varsity jacket with black leather pants, a white silk blouse, and black flats. A navy drawstring bag stayed with her sporty theme, while geometric sunglasses added chic. Next time you throw on your letterman jacket, look to Karolina by pairing it with leather pants and a silky blouse.
Elle held its Women in Hollywood gala in Beverly Hills last night, and while many fashionable starlets turned up, our style standout was Jaime King. The Hart of Dixie actress wore a sexy-slash-sweet white cutout dress with chunky platform Calvin Klein sandals, and a Calvin Klein box clutch. We especially love that she finished her red-carpet look via an unexpected Calvin Klein ivory tuxedo-style coat. The ivory and white color combo is super chic, while the longer hemline on her coat and dress makes for a classy nighttime ensemble. To re-create Jaime's style for your next fancy affair, pair up an ivory coat or blazer with a little white dress and matching white sandals.
Think pumpkin decorating is just for kids? Think again. With Halloween around the corner, we got into the festive spirit and created our own — not to mention very stylish — runway-inspired pumpkin for you to try out at home. It's super easy (around 30 minutes total) and no carving is necessary. Our inspiration point? The awesome studs and embellishments from Isabel Marant's Spring '13 collection. All you need is a bottle of spray paint (we chose gold but silver, red, or black works just as well), some studs, and you're set. Check out our easy step-by-step instructions in the slideshow and let us know whether you'll be trying this DIY project for yourself.
