First Look! Madewell Spring '13 Continues Its Cool-Girl Domination
Herein lies your first look at Madewell's Spring '13 lineup, fresh from our visit to J.Crew headquarters. Disclaimer: there's a very likely chance you'll fall in love with much (read: all) of the collection. And while there are some immediate layering takeaways to be had, remember these pieces aren't actually available until next Spring. Now, onto what really matters, and that has everything to do with the brand's perennial cool-girl vibe.
Defined by its core supply of vintage-y denim shirts, printed denim skinny jeans, and one patchwork-style Canadian tuxedo, Madewell is sticking to what it does best. Then, with a much girlier flourish than usual, you'll see lighter floral prints mixed with textured white slip dresses, brightly colored lace sets layered over denim button-ups, softer plaids toughened up with camouflage outerwear, and enough ladylike skimmer flats to give you that classic Audrey Hepburn edge. Worry not stripes lovers, there are wide-set iterations, nautical-inspired versions, and one rendition that makes us instantly think of the chicest Parisian style setter, too. Keep in mind — the styled layering here can be utilized now. Textured sweaters paired with white dresses give you Winter white in one go, blazers styled with a blouse-and-tee combo are a must, and dresses over pants are officially worth trying. Got all that? Click on.
Emma Roberts and Katie Holmes Light Up the Narciso Rodriguez For Kohl's Bash
Designer collaborations are a hot ticket these days, and Kohl's is debuting its first-ever collection with Narciso Rodriguez in its Design Nation series. Inspired by a trip to Istanbul, the line is filled with bold colorblocking and graphic lines. Emma Roberts and Katie Holmes both showed up to celebrate the line in NYC last night. Emma wore a sleek v-neck dress from the collection and told us her must-have piece for Fall — hint, it's spotted! Watch on to see more. On Allison McNamara: Topshop jacket, Madewell top.

Lauren Conrad Styles Up a Leather LBD and Shares Her Fall Fashion Tip!
Lauren Conrad's been making her way across the country promoting her new books Lauren Conrad Beauty and Starstruck. BellaSugarTV's Kirbie Johnson caught up with the reality-star-turned-author last night in Santa Monica, where Lauren was clad in a black leather dress and heels. We've seen her sporting a lot of color on her book tour, so we had to ask her trick to incorporating bright hues into her Fall wardrobe. Watch on to hear more from Lauren! On Allison McNamara: Topshop jacket, Madewell top.
Shop It: Track Pants
Lucky magazine is one of our favorite sources for great shopping tips. We're thrilled to share this fabulous story from our friends at Lucky!
Over the past few weeks, I've seen a lot of men and women pushing the boundaries of "casual."
On the streets, I see women in sleek track pants paired with sharp button-ups and men in un-ironic tailored sweat pants. As a proponent of the casual revolution that exists only in my head, I have to applaud them. Step up your casual game by shopping these fancy track pants.

The Carrie Diaries' AnnaSophia Robb Shines in Gold Peplum
The Carrie Diaries isn't due to debut until January 2013, but last night the show was feted at the 2012 New York Television Festival. And naturally, lead actress who plays Carrie Bradshaw, AnnaSophia Robb, looked dazzling in a pre-Fall 2012 Emilio Pucci dress with a gold peplum top and black pencil skirt. She finished off with black Sergio Rossi slingback pumps — shop the metallic version here ($715) — and a red glittery clutch. While her dress isn't available online, you can easily re-create it by pairing up a gold peplum top with a black pencil skirt. Swap the skirt for wide-leg trousers for a menswear-inspired vibe.

Nicole and Natasha Light Up the Red Carpet in a Familiar Shade

Remember at this year's Oscars when Michelle Williams wore a Louis Vuitton gown that was "not quite orange, not exactly coral, not really red," but all-around amazing? Well, even though months have passed and the seasons have changed, that head-scratching hard-to-pin-down shade is still around, and making a huge impact on the red carpet. Just last night, both Nicole Richie and Natasha Poly showed up at events sporting the juicy hue — Nicole attended the FFANY Shoes on Sale gala in a high-collar macramé dress by Australian brand Scanlan & Theodore, while Natasha partied at the Angel Ball with the likes of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian in a sexy knit Roberto Cavalli gown. Both women lit up their respective events, just as Michelle Williams did at the Academy Awards earlier this year — and we're betting that this bold, vibrant color will be sticking around for another round of red carpet revelry.

Kristin Cavallari's Black and White Dress Makes Us Want One, Too!
Kristin Cavallari often impresses us with her sleek style, but the latest black and white colorblock Alice + Olivia dress that she wore to the 2012 FFANY shoes on sale gala in NYC makes us want one too, pronto! Colorblocking is huge right now and we particularly love the slick mix of black and white. Can it get any chicer than two chic colors colliding? We think not. The new mom finished her red-carpet look with these Chinese Laundry black platform pumps ($130) and sparkly drop earrings. To get Kristin's look for your next fancy event, or even for a dinner date, shop our favorite black and white colorblock dresses below, including this Milly colorblock leather dress ($395), which is very similar to Kristin's.
