This week's best-dressed celebrities taught us a handful of key Fall fashion lessons we'll be implementing pronto. Kourtney Kardashian proved that having a pair of colored leather shorts is essential, Kristen Stewart inspired us to take more risks and to test-drive the black and white color combo, and Miranda Kerr showed off the sexy way to play with proportions. Other style tips came courtesy of Mandy Moore, Ali Larter, Eva Mendes, and Taylor Swift. Step inside to check out this week's top stars, then shop their looks to spice up your Fall wardrobe.

Lust of the Day: Rachel Roy's Fuzzy White Fur Vest
Rachel Roy may have matched the black and white backdrop at the NYC screening of Rust and Bone, but she definitely made a loud statement in her fuzzy white Mongolian fur vest. The designer layered her luxe topper over a white cashmere sweater, then slid on a pair of slick black leather pants and matching Rachel Roy boots ($495). She completed her red-carpet ensemble with a gray crocodile tote, a silver square-face watch, and sparkling diamond studs. Rachel's latest look proves that fur vests are still a thing, so style yours with black leather pants and ankle boots or swap the pants and boots for a black sheath dress and patent pumps for a ladylike touch.

Celebrities Go Crisp in White Coats — Make It Your Fall Favorite
Just because it's Fall doesn't mean you have to tuck away your white coats. On the contrary, just one look at Angelina Jolie, Gwen Stefani, and Caroline Sieber in theirs and you'll want to bring them right back into rotation. You can choose a white trench like Angelina, a more structured topper like Gwen — shop her exact Theodora & Callum leopard scarf here ($155) — or a double-breasted white coat like Caroline. Then, to make your favorite white coat Fall-appropriate, top it over everything from chunky sweaters to cozy leggings to knit scarves to killer boots. Shop our favorite white coats below to get in on the celebrity-approved trend.

Insta-Highlights of the Week: Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Edition!
Get your wings ready! Our Instagram feed this week was chock-full of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show goodness, but you already know that. (What's that? You don't follow our Instagram? Do so right away!) From our backstage look at the models getting glam to Rihanna's opening with Alessandra Ambrosio, we brought you our favorite moments of the show. Top it off with the perfect late-Fall coat and a surefire sign that the holidays are upon us, and it's been a pretty festive — and angelic — week!
Kate Middleton, Cameron Diaz, and More Make This One Very Chic Week
Kate Middleton brought black-tie glamour in Temperley, Cameron Diaz gave us one very chic red-carpet appearance in Stella McCartney, and Jessica Alba wowed in Valentino at an LA gala — but these are just three of the best of the week's best. Inside, there's more from our favorites, some more casual — like the ever-polished Olivia Palermo running errands in sophisticated Fall layers and over-the-knee boots — and even more of the glammed-up variety (all the better to supply our holiday dressing inspiration). Kick Back and Relax in Our Wintry Cabin-Chic Essentials
With the onset of Winter weather (not to mention nor'easters) comes the need to hunker down, stay inside, and take a chill pill. We're feeling especially inspired by Free People's snowy, rustic November lookbook. The slouchy sweaters, cozy leggings and kneesocks, and dreamy, skin-tickling slip dresses were just made to be lounged in — and it calls to mind the same kind of easy, laid-back layering tricks we saw on the runway at Rag & Bone's Fall '12 show, with their oversize striped blanket coats and nomadic leather-paneled pants. Furthermore, we're setting the scene with some more cold-weather essentials, like a chunky knit cardigan, soul-warming tunes, and a rich, delicious bottle of red wine. Are you feeling all warm and toasty yet?

Clockwise, from top left: Michael Kors Stripe Blanket Scarf ($68), Rag & Bone Fall 2012 runway, Free People November 2012 catalog, Vanessa Bruno Cable Knit Sweater ($543), Swanson Vineyards "Help Is Here" Sweet Red Wine ($25), Very Best of Ray Charles ($17), Araks Elin Slip ($285), Antipast Ribbed Over The Knee Dress Sock ($42)

Get Inspired (and Chic!) by Taylor Swift's Red, White, and Black Dress
Taylor Swift chose an appropriately red, white, and black Kate Spade dress ($398) while promoting her new album, Red, in Paris. The singer is no stranger to colorblocking — she recently wore a black and white Kate Spade New York dress in Paris. We're so inspired by this chic triple color combo that we set off to find equally fabulous red, white, and black dresses to re-create Taylor's look. Choose something long-sleeved, sleeveless, flowy, or structured. Then pair your pick with your favorite footwear to complete your look.
