Stay Dry in Selena Gomez's Equestrian Rain Boots
Selena Gomez grabbed lunch in Burbank looking cozy-slash-utilitarian in an olive-green anorak jacket, a knit scarf, and black leggings. To shield herself from possible raindrops, the singer sported these Dav black equestrian rain boots ($73, originally $95) on her feet. If you don't yet have chic rain boots, we recommend adding Selena's pair to your mix — both the look and price are so right. And you can wear them with a variety of pieces from leggings, like Selena did, to jeans to dresses and tights.

Zac Posen Will Replace Michael Kors as Project Runway Judge
Here's your first 2013 (style) shake-up: Zac Posen will replace Michael Kors as a judge on the new season of Project Runway, which airs Jan. 24. The reason for the change? Scheduling conflicts on Kors's part. Posen, who's no stranger to the panel (he's appeared on the show as a guest judge in the past), tweeted earlier, "So excited to be the new judge on @ProjectRunway Season 11!" And, while the show's host and executive producer, Heidi Klum shares Posen's excitement — she took to Twitter to welcome him — she also tweeted, "I will miss you this season my brother @Michael Kors I love you!" This won't be the last you'll be seeing of Kors, though. He'll take up his judging post for the show's always epic season finale. Now that you've had a few seconds to process the news, we want to know your thoughts: are you excited to have a fresh face on the panel lineup? Or, are you sad that Michael Kors won't be a permanent Project Runway fixture anymore?

Demi Lovato Brightens All Black With an Aztec-Print Skirt
Demi Lovato worked a trendy Topshop ensemble while showing her support for The X Factor's remaining contestants at a press conference in LA. The singer styled an all-black ensemble — silky box top ($90), platform YSL pumps ($795), and opaque tights — with this aztec-print miniskirt ($68) and a few sparkling accessories. Score Demi's exact top and skirt to work with tights and pumps for date night or swap them for a chunky black sweater and boots for a cozy-chic take on her evening look.

Here's Your Holiday Styling Second Wind, Thanks to Madewell's Latest
If there's one thing we can count on Madewell for (aside from great denim), it's styling cues that are as easy as they are incredibly cool. Case in point: the brand's latest holiday lookbook, which supplies the festive styler and easygoing girl alike with plenty of party-outfit fodder. We're talking polka dots made chic and kelly-green skinnies with leopard skimmers here . . . the kind of quirk and playfulness you've come to expect from Madewell with a refreshingly grown-up, perfect-for-any-holiday-setting twist. We know how it goes, too. You start your December motivated and energized on the fashion front, and by the second week in, the drive to change up your cocktail dress M.O. has waned. That's why we couldn't have asked for a better boost of inspiration than this one. Inside, you'll find just what you need to get those styling wheels turning again. The requirements? A little bit of sparkle, something printed, and a great no-frills blazer. See our quick takeaway tips below, then click through for 12 ways to punch up your holiday style A-game.
- The sparkle-and-shine treatment doesn't have to be over the top, as evidenced by this green denim look. If you temper the sequined statement with, say, even bolder complements (hello, bright hues and leopard-printed skimmers), you don't run the risk of being overtaken by eye-catching embellishments.
- Polka dots can be made refined with some help from one classic navy-blue blazer and white pumps. The juxtaposition of whimsical print and tailored pieces works solely based on the strategic placement of the playful and the poised. Because you have a no-fail staple to offset the girlie polka dots, you can take your look from youthful to night out instantly.
- We love the idea of print on print (always), but what really stood out to us in this tougher take on the trend was the cropped trouser. Done up in a jacquard, printed, or brocade finish, these flashier pants can do all the outfit talking.
Find Out What Michael Kors, Jason Wu, and More Would Be If They Weren't Designers
Over the course of the year, we've gotten to talk to some of the biggest designers in the business — but if they weren't designing beautiful clothes, what would they be doing? Find out the careers that Michael Kors, Brian Atwood, Jason Wu and more of the industry's most talented designers would choose if they weren't in fashion in this special edition of Fab Flash. Katie Holmes's Green Scarf Pops Against Her Navy Coat
Katie Holmes was spotted in NYC looking all bundled up in her new navy Balenciaga coat ($2,118) she's been showing off lately. On bottom she wore faded skinny jeans and these Rag & Bone Newbury booties ($347, originally $495), and she carried this Delvaux colorblock bag ($3,500). But it was her green scarf peeping out from under her coat that really made her look pop — we love the mix of green and navy. To mimic Katie's latest street style, finish your navy coats and sweaters with a bright-green scarf.

Journey Into the Woods With Burberry (and Cara Delevingne)
Lucky magazine is one of our favorite sources for great shopping tips. We're thrilled to share this fabulous story from our friends at Lucky!
From Arizona Muse's hot air balloon ride for Louis Vuitton to Coach's stop-motion Winter wonderland short, it's tough to find a fashion film we don't adore. But Burberry's latest clip, set in a mystical forest and showcasing the British heritage brand's Fall 2012 collection, somehow manages to combine a handful of our absolute favorite things: woodland creatures, Cara Delevingne and Marina and the Diamonds (Marina's "Numb" serves as the mini-flick's soundtrack). Oh, and hot air balloons make an appearance in this one, too.
Check out the video below, in which models clad in Burberry coats turn the forest floor into a makeshift runway—before disappearing into dramatic little bursts of golden leaves. It's pretty cool.
