Giejo's Swimwear Doesn't Match But Isn't Supposed To
Lucky magazine is one of our favorite sources for great shopping tips. We're thrilled to share this fabulous story on swimwear line Giejo from our friends at Lucky!
While Gabby Sabharwal's swimwear line, Giejo, is made up of just six tops and bottoms (like, total), its styling possibilities are much more extensive than you'd think.
Designed to be mixed and matched, the print-heavy separates (floral, striped, tie-dye) easily morph into combinations either pretty and delicate or bold and punchy.
Our favorite is a little of both—the sweet lavender top mixed with the more aggressive green and black bottom. But regardless of the pairing you pick, one thing's always true: by choosing your own special blend of tops and bottoms, your already-cool swimsuit becomes even more individual and distinct.
To choose your own combination, click through the slideshow below, then shop them here. (Tops start at $78, bottoms at $96.)
triangle tie top, $98, shopgiejo.com; mixed highwaist bottom, $88, shopgiejo.com

Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2012
Cold shoulders? Roksanda Ilincic's answer is a Fall 2012 collection of sheath dresses, tailored trousers, and slouchy sweatshirts all topped with fur trim. It's the modern girl's cold-weather wardrobe — complete with the most sophisticated play on buffalo plaid (yes, sophisticated plaid) we've ever seen embellished onto deep burgundy dresses and bold bright blue pencil skirts. Silhouettes too speak to that modern proportion — slouchier tops and slim-cut skirts. Nothing is too literal; while sporty references abound with hooded sweatshirts, relaxed trousers, or full jumpsuits, Roksanda counters with luxe fur trim on the same laid-back toppers. She always remembers her clientele with the feminine allure they crave. To that note, there are the classic ladylike silhouettes — sheaths finished with a flutter of ruffles at the hem or a sharp little dress with just the right draping. It's not hard to imagine Roksanda's fans like Kate Middleton or Michelle Obama slipping into any of the designer's perfectly crafted dresses.
- Trends: Full skirts, buffalo plaid, brights, fur trim, sporty dressing, menswear.
- Colors: Black, red, bright blue, yellow, purple, gray, and white.
- Key Piece: We love the embellished take on buffalo plaid, especially the deep red and black sheath.
- Accessories: Yellow ankle-strap pumps, slouchy bucket bags.
- Who Would Wear It: Polished feminine types who crave sophisticated cuts and statement color; fans like Michelle Obama and Keira Knightley.
Rachel Bilson and Her Stylist Chat Shoe Personalities and Go-To Pieces
Rachel Bilson and her stylist Nicole Chavez have been creating amazing fashion moments together for years. And they also make the perfect pair designing footwear for ShoeMint. During a recent press breakfast at West Hollywood's The London hotel, we got a chance to catch up with the fashionable partners about their shoe personalities and go-to clothing pieces. Of her shoe style, Nicole says, "The crazier the better. Bold colors, feathers. It's the Latin in me." But Rachel is a bit more fickle when it comes to her footwear. "I think I'm all over the place," she told us. "There will be a day where I'm really into something bright and crazy. Or I like a good basic. So it just depends."

The Brit Awards are happening right now, and the red carpet is starting to fill up with enviable looks from some of our favorite songstresses. Adele made an appearance wearing a black Burberry gown — very similar to the Giorgio Armani dress she wore to the Grammys — and Rihanna paired leather opera gloves with a sexy beaded Givenchy gown, while Nicole Scherzinger stunned in a studded yellow Versace creation. There's more to check out; peep the slideshow to see Lana Dey Rey in Vivienne Westwood, Florence Welch in Alexander McQueen, and an age-defying Kylie Minogue in a bright blue stunner by Yves Saint Laurent.
