Take a Closer Look at the Best Fall Accessories From Alexander Wang, Dannijo, DVF, and More
Fashion Month is said and done, and now we're supplying you with a zoomed-in look at the top shoes, bags, and accessories from Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week. Yes, we are months away from Fall, but who wants to wait to check out all these gorgeous creations from the best American designers? Not us, and now's the time we start forecasting next season's trends. We noticed an overarching theme of structure and minimalism; designers like Alexander Wang and Phillip Lim showed a delectable array of totes and ankle-strap sandals punched up with bold colors and textures. Meanwhile, designers like Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenberg highlighted luxurious embellishments in the way of fur and artful appliqué. Also, could the crazy platform heel be seeing the end of its day soon? We couldn't help but notice its lack of presence, replaced by a bevy of point-toe ankle boots and statement pumps in the footwear category. Want to see more top looks from the New York collections? Read below for our top three picks, then just click the slideshow to see over 100 more irresistible shoes, bags, and jewels for Fall.
- We're totally in love with these Alexander Wang ankle-strap heels. We love the simple shape injected with a bold neon hue.
- Our search for the perfect clutch might be over, thanks to Jason Wu's blue studded confection. We die for the structured silhouette and fringe tassel detail.
- We'd love to take this surrealism-inspired Diane von Furstenberg clutch out for a spin. We'd pair it with a little white dress and striking heels for a new twist on black-tie dressing.
Jaime King Chats About Her Own, and Her Hart of Dixie Character's, Style
Jaime King may be rocking blue hair at the moment, but her character on Hart of Dixie, Lemon, would never do such a thing. In fact, she would snicker at it. There are huge differences between the actress's style and that of her goody-two-shoes character, but one commonality is that they both love fashion and look amazing in clothes. At a party at Pink Taco on Sunset Boulevard over the weekend, Jaime popped by for a quick chat about both her own and Lemon's style. Hear what she had to say.
CelebStyle: How would you describe your personal style?
Jaime King: Eclectic but classic.
CS: Who are your go-to designers?
JK: Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Prada, Miu Miu, and the thrift stores, like Goodwill.
CS: What do you think about your character's style on Hart of Dixie?
JK: I think it's fantastic. I love it. It's really fun to wear custom-made dresses and play someone so well put together.
Rihanna Styles Her Floral Denim With White-Hot Pumps
It's very fitting that floral denim is trending during Spring. From the runway to real life, fashionistas everywhere are incorporating florals into their everyday ensembles. We first fell in love when we spotted Beyoncé's bold floral pants with vibrant pumps, and now we are even more excited to test-drive the trend after seeing Rihanna in a chambray Current/Elliott top and blooming Alexander Wang skinnies in Hollywood. The fashion chameleon layered up in mixed metals — a gold chain bracelet, silver bar necklace, and bevy of rings — and a gray chain-strap bag, then finished off with white Alexander Wang pumps instead of colored kicks. Take a cue from Rihanna and pair her exact denim and shoes with a chambray blouse, then finish it off with a sexy red lip and blackout shades to really make heads turn.

Miley Cyrus Nails the Lingerie-Inspired Look — and Debuts a Diamond Ring
Leave it to Miley Cyrus to showcase one of Spring's biggest trends, while also sending tongues wagging about her personal life. Miley attended Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix, AZ, last night and successfully pulled off the lingerie-inspired trend in a frothy, peach-colored Jenny Packham gown. Not only did she look gorgeous and age-appropriate, but she also went easy on the accessories, opting for a few thin gold bangles and one stunning round diamond ring — which has people speculating that the singer may be newly engaged to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. While we can't confirm that Miley is getting hitched, we can safely support her soft, sexy dress and take on the boudoir trend. Click through to see more up-close details on Miley's look now.
Editor update: Miley Cyrus confirmed engagement to Liam Hemsworth on June 6th, 2012
For Instant Pizazz, Throw On a Red Blazer à la Emmy Rossum
Some stars opt to wear sweats while traveling, but not Emmy Rossum. On the contrary, the actress showed off a sassy airport look that's just as ideal for the streets as it is the terminals. She started with the basics: a white tee tucked into a pair of Joe's Jeans skinny flares. Then here's where the real excitement kicked in, when instead of a hoodie, Emmy threw on a bright red blazer. Matching red drop earrings added even more pizazz, while tan lace-up oxfords brought the look back down to earth. If, like Emmy, you're an on-the-go gal, consider investing in a red blazer. It'll bring life to everything from jeans to a little black dress to work trousers to flirty skirts. To get the look, shop our favorite red blazer — and more fab Emmy-inspired pieces — below.

Found: Make Jessica's Metallic Jacket and Peach Jeans Your Spring Go-Tos
Jessica Alba was all business with notebook in hand while leaving a studio in LA, but her subtly colored denim — a huge departure from the loud jeans she's recently been sporting — was nothing but fun. The actress paired peach J Brand skinnies with a crisp white button-down and topped it off with a metallic Joe's Jeans jacket that's perfect for Spring. She completed her look with snakeskin moto boots, '80s-inspired sunglasses, and a fuchsia Loewe crossbody bag — snag a similar style from the label here. Make Jessica's jacket and jeans your Spring go-tos, then for an alternative to her look, layer the jacket over a fancy black frock for evening, and pair the peach jeans with a tank for the weekend.

Rules Were Made to Be Broken: Pair Navy and Black For a Cool Spring Look

Let's discuss one of the oldest fashion rules in the book: don't wear black and navy together, or you shall be shunned from the style community and left in the middle of Lincoln Center to be publicly humiliated (we made that last part up, but you see where we're going here). The oft-ridiculed pairing was pulled off on Spring runways from Lanvin, Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney, and more and has been road-tested by style mavens like Alexa Chung and Chloë Moretz. The look is absurdly easy to achieve — it can be as simple as pairing a navy tank with black jeans, tucking a black tee into a navy pencil skirt, or just wearing black tights with your favorite navy dress. No matter how you try it, the trick is to keep your navy truly navy — if it's dangerously close to being black, it'll just look like you got dressed in the dark (unless, of course, you really did get dressed in the dark, in which case we can't help you).
