Loads of leather covered the runway at Valentino for Fall 2012, including everything from an amazing leather toggle coat to a dramatic full-length trench. Of course, designers Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri also turned out gorgeous sheer, lacy dresses, embellished shifts, and several brilliant red frocks, including a scalloped version just waiting to be worn by one of the celebrities in the front row. Soak up the entire collection by watching the runway show right now!
If you're anything like us, you're probably feeling the vacation itch — once the holidays (and award season) are over, we inevitably get a taste for travel, and right now, we're feeling some pretty strong tropical vibes. Have you ever noticed how booking a vacation — choosing a hotel, reserving flights, deciding on tourist activities — somehow becomes easier than figuring out what to pack? The key is to stick to simple yet colorful separates that can be easily mixed and matched (creating less stress for you, plus leaving more room in your suitcase for souvenirs). If you need more inspiration, just check out Doutzen Kroes in this Muse editorial — perfectly stunning while sunning in fashionable, retro-cool pieces. We've rounded up 15 pieces that are just begging to be brought on vacation, so if you're feeling wanderlusty and need some help pulling the trigger or are already booked for a dream visit of your own, just click through now to see and shop our chic, beach-ready picks.
The Alexander McQueen show is known for darkly beautiful drama, but for Fall 2012, designer Sarah Burton lightened the mood with a slew of feathery dresses and separates that nearly floated down the runway. Metallic, bow-bedecked belts cinched the waists of embellished frocks and coats, and large visors covered all of the models' eyes on the catwalk, giving the show an otherwordly feel. Watch the entire Alexander McQueen show right here, and be sure to read our editors' full review here.
Marni for H&M is finally making its chic entrance into stores tomorrow morning! You can check out the complete lookbook on models, but isn't it more fun to see the funky fab pieces on your favorite celebs? The likes of Drew Barrymore, Jayma Mays, Milla Jovovich, Catt Sadler, and many more beauties have already donned Marni for H&M at various events around town, including the official collection launch in LA. Before you shop the collection bright and early, click through to pick your favorites as seen on Hollywood's hottest ladies.
Sarah Jessica Parker is no stranger to taking fashion risks, but her latest ensemble at Louis Vuitton's show at Paris Fashion Week is particularly ballsy! The actress made an appearance wearing a white dress from the house's Spring 2005 collection with white pumps and matching white gloves. As you can see, this look isn't appropriate for everyone and every situation. You need extra fashion guts to pull it off, but if you have it, don a similar white lace top — below are a few of our favorites — with a sexy black strapless bra. On bottom, you can wear a white pencil skirt to get Sarah Jessica's exact look, or for something more casual, throw on black skinny jeans. Wear white pumps for extra pizazz, or black or something with color will also do. If you love this look but don't want to reveal your bra, wear a nude cami for coverage.
Marni for H&M hits stores TOMORROW! We've been waiting on pins and needles for the Marni for H&M collection to release, and now the time has come. Check out the complete lookbook, featuring a wide range of dresses, coats, tops, and accessories made in Marni's signature quirky prints and colors. Our must-have pieces? We especially love the jacquard printed pantsuits and sleek two-toned leather top. The collection, priced from $20 for a statement bracelet to $129 for a printed coat, debuts in stores on March 8 — which piece will you be picking up?
Haven't gotten your fill of stylish Paris Fashion Week sightings? Us either. To end the fashionable month on a high note, celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristen Stewart, and Sarah Jessica Parker gussied up in some seriously enviable ensembles for the Louis Vuitton — Marc Jacobs: The Exhibition. But they weren't the only ones to don their evening best — the man of honor Marc Jacobs arrived in a cotton-candy-pink polo dress and his signature bejeweled square-toe loafers, too. Also in attendance? Natalia Vodianova, Karlie Kloss, and Poppy Delevigne. Click through to see all the gorgeous wares now, and be sure to share your pick for best dressed in the comments!
We have spotted everyone from Jessica Alba to Jenna Dewan rocking colored denim in a variety of ways. The latest to jump on the trend is Camila Alves, who wore purple jeans while shopping at The Grove in LA. Camila balanced her saturated skinnies with a white cowl-neck blouse and neutral strappy sandals, then finished the look off with an earthy Muxo tote and pyramid bracelets. Re-create this outfit with a white blouse and purple denim for your next brunch date, or try melding in another vibrant hue; we love the idea of an orange sweater to really make heads turn.
Paris Fashion Week may be winding down, but the front-row fashion shows no signs of slowing. At Louis Vuitton, Sarah Jessica Parker lit up the room in a white lace Louis Vuitton dress and shoes, Fenton bracelets, and Fred Leighton earrings. And over at Valentino, Nicky Hilton paired her sweet but sexy Valentino frock with Christian Louboutin pumps and a ring from Nicholai by Nicky Hilton. Christian Dior's new cover girl, Mila Kunis, opted for the designer du jour, and Jessica Alba perfected her cocktail attire in a one-shoulder, embellished Lanvin mini. See all of these gorgeous looks in today's Fab Flash! On Allison McNamara: Madewell.
