Jessica Alba was spotted heading into her Santa Monica office in a playful and polished ensemble — purple skinny jeans, an Aztec-print tank, and tie-dye Tory Burch shades — while toting all her work essentials in a leather Tory Burch briefcase. She layered a black blazer over her eye-catching outfit, then completed it with studded flats, a dual-chain Lindsay Vallan necklace, and diamond stud earrings. Style similar purple skinnies with a tribal tank and pointed flats like Jessica, or pair your grape denim with a white tank and tribal sandals; then don't forget standout shades like Jessica's pair to complete your punchy Spring ensemble.

As much as we've loved Brooklyn Decker's red-carpet turn for Battleship, we've got a soft spot for looks we can re-create in our own day to day. That's exactly what we thought when we saw the model-turned-actress showing off this perfect red dress while taking in the sights in Sydney. It can easily be styled up with heels for a night out or outfitted with an edgier pair of boots à la Brooklyn for a more casual feel. Add your go-to shades, and you've perfected the same breezy-cool style. Feeling inspired? Channel Brooklyn's look with our shopping picks below.
Not too long ago, in March 2012, Ashlee Simpson served as bridesmaid for a friend's wedding in Palm Springs. The term "bridesmaid dress" usually makes us cringe, but Ashlee was a breath of fresh air in her soft-hued, printed halter gown, which she dressed up with a long pearl necklace. With wedding season in our midst, Ashlee has inspired us to find equally gorgeous halter gowns that can also be worn as bridesmaid dresses for all types of receptions, from fancy to beachy. Then when the party is over, you can rewear all of them for other dressy soirees, including a wedding you're not a part of. Step inside to see eight of our halter-gown picks inspired by Ashlee Simpson, then be sure to check out other celebs as bridesmaids.
For Opening Ceremony's Fall 2012 collection, designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim created a cozy collection inspired by the natural wonders of Patagonia. With a focus on textures and prints inspired by the great outdoors, the duo created a sporty luxe collection comprised of printed trousers, puffer coats, lace-inset sweatshirts, and body-con fleece dresses. Tempering the casual aesthetic were refined touches via leather trim, Mongolian fur, and metallic finishes. Meanwhile, the brand's accessory offerings ranged from round red sunglasses to chunky lace-up boots and chic printed loafers. The collection is definitely a slightly more mature take compared to their past collections, but nonetheless true to Humberto and Carol's whimsical cool style. Check out our top three looks below, then click the slideshow to see the complete collection.
- We love this leather and tweed moto jacket. It's equal parts polish and tough girl, and perfect for pairing with cropped trousers and pleated midi skirts.
- A dressy sweatshirt might come off as an oxymoron, but we can't resist this lace and fleece sweatshirt.
- Car coats are a huge Fall trend. This rendition gives the trend a modern spin thanks to the bright cobalt leather trim.
Nicole Richie took some time off her Fashion Star duties for a fun family beach day in Malibu with Joel Madden and their two children, Harlow and Sparrow. Nicole delivered another one of her signature boho-chic outfits, pairing a breezy orange top from her own line Winter Kate with denim cutoffs and strappy sandals. She gave her look an eclectic gypsy feel with a patterned Simone Camille fabric carry-all and polished off her California cool style with a braided updo that's perfect for the beach. This Friday, another season of festival fun kicks off in Indio, CA — bringing our favorite celebs out for their favorite bands. But when they're not taking in the music, celebs are usually cooling off at one of Coachella's afternoon lounges or parties. Last year, we spied style stars like Nicole Richie looking breezy and chic poolside, while Alexa Chung chatted with girlfriends at Mulberry's BBQ. Meanwhile, Diane Kruger stepped out with beau Joshua Jackson and joined Kelly Osbourne for the festivities at Lacoste. We've already got our bags packed for the weekend ahead, but before we head out, we're taking a look back at the trendsetting celebs from last year's coolest Coachella parties. Click through to see who we spotted out and about last year — and stay tuned for all of this year's action.
