In between styling her A-list clients and designing her ready to wear collection, Rachel Zoe has been one busy lady — but somehow, she managed to find time to deliver one of the most gorgeous gowns at this year's Met Gala, worn by supermodel Karolina Kurkova. Creating a gown for fashion's biggest night is no easy feat — Rachel spent countless nights envisioning her Met Gala red-carpet design debut, and needless to say, she definitely rose to the occasion. Rachel also told us that Karolina's matching turban was a last-minute addition to the long-sleeved, rose-gold stunner. Watch today's Fab Flash to hear more from Rachel at her event at Elyse Walker, plus a few styling tips and trends to invest in this Summer. On Allison McNamara: Topshop jacket, Madewell top.
No matter where she goes, Diane Kruger is always a style star, and the burgundy lace-up Versus number she wore with Jimmy Choo heels to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival was no exception. The moody hue was beautiful, but the black cord-laced straps and side cutout panels are what took the dress to a whole new fashion category. Inspired by Diane's Cannes dress, we set out to find equally sexy lace-up pieces that you can incorporate into your closet for both fancy and casual occasions. There's everything from little white dresses for Summer to a colorful Missoni tunic to throw on over your bikini to a lace-up one-piece bathing suit to a classic striped lace-up top and so much more. Shop our favorite lace-up picks below!
We got our first taste of Madewell's Fall 2012 back in April, but if ever there was a way to prove the cool factor in this collection, it's in Madewell's perfectly styled Fall lookbook. Mastering the art of effortless layers, girl-meets-boy appeal, and the style quirks of traditional Fall clothing turned on its head, Madewell offers up the season's essentials in bold hues, clever prints (like a leopard-print grandpa cardigan), and staple denim. It's the best kind of tomboy dressing — pastel tulip skirts paired with plaid button-downs and field boots — and a woodsier edge, thanks to cozy knit hats, lumberjack-inspired jackets, and cheeky wool sweaters. Read on for our must-have pieces, then click through to get a glimpse of the whole collection.
Just in time for Memorial Day parties and BBQs, Anthropologie has kicked off its major semiannual sale — with prices marked up to 75 percent off — filled with refreshingly cute dressing options. With the sun shining on our shoulders, we're looking to stock up on colorful and printed Summer dresses and fresh sandals to complete the look. To save you time, we've culled the most beautiful pieces, ranging from cute polka-dot minidresses to laser-cut sandals, for you to shop now. Don't wait too long; these deals are sure to sell out fast.
While promoting Snow White and the Huntsman in Berlin, Charlize Theron stepped out donning a leather-panel Rag & Bone top ($415) with a metallic knit Alexander Wang skirt and black-and-gold T-strap Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. In their worldly travels to debut the flick, Charlize and costar Kristen Stewart have been killing it with their red-carpet looks, from sheer black gowns to streamlined photocall ensembles. We are particularly smitten with Charlize's latest outfit because of its simplicity and ease. Score her exact Rag & Bone top to pair with a similar skirt and sandals to take you from work to happy hour, or pair it with skinny jeans for a more casual-cool approach.
We've all been told about the importance of a good night's sleep. But just how important are those ZZZs? Well, think of it this way: the average person spends one-third of their lifetime sleeping. That's a lot of time on your mattress! So, isn't it about time you start investing in some good sleep?
In the past, buying a brand-new mattress might have seemed too expensive, but with the new TEMPUR-Simplicity™ mattress, you can enjoy Tempur-Pedic comfort and contouring support at a surprisingly affordable price. Yes, that means you never have to troll the "Free Stuff" section of Craigslist in search of a mattress again. Also, the 10-year warranty takes the worry out of your purchase.
We're excited to bring you the best fashion finds, shopping stories, and style news from one of our favorite sites, Fashionista. Today, they're giving us a look at the crowns designed for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Queen Elizabeth has long been considered a woman of many hats–and she’ll soon be adding many more to her burgeoning collection of (mainly pastel) headwear.
In honor of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Harrods has tapped thirty-one of the biggest names in fashion–including Mulberry, Valentino, and Lanvin–to design revamped versions of the St. Edward’s Crown, the fancy-pants topper Elizabeth wore during her coronation way back in 1953.
And while there’s maybe a little too much crushed velvet for our taste, there’s also at least one fuzzy Jamiroquoi hat (Cavalli), one tiny Corgi (Paul Smith), two life size snakes (Bulgari and Boucheron), and what appears to be a crown made entirely of that caviar nail polish (Mulberry).
All the designs will be on display at Harrods in London starting today–but if, like us, you’ll be on the wrong side of the pond for all the jubilation, here are fourteen of the new crowns via Vogue UK. Cheers, m’dears.

The mixed-prints trend has been around for some time now, but it's still going strong in Hollywood. Emma Watson worked a printed blouse with a contrasting skirt at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, and a handful of other celebs like Whitney Port, Claudia Schiffer, Diane Kruger, and Scarlett Johansson have also embraced mismatching. With Spring in our midst, it's the ideal time to dabble with the trend if you haven't already. Need inspiration?
