While we love nothing more than kicking off our heels on Friday evening and not even thinking about what we're going to wear for our weekend adventures, we're not about to slack off in the styling department either. It's about trading in our more constricting pencil skirts and buttoned-up blouses for slouchy t-shirts, go-to flats, and a sleek (but totally cozy) pair of jeans — mind you, all while striking that perfect balance between low-maintenance and superchic. To keep your off-duty look as refined and as sharp as your Monday through Friday approach, take cues from these slick street stylers, who've mastered the art of effortless cool dressing. Whether you've got a brunch with your girlfriends or plan on hanging in the park, there are certainly enough inspired ensembles to go around. Click through to see them all now.

This week's style setters may be more street chic than red-carpet glam, but that doesn't make the looks any less noteworthy. Styles from the likes of Chloe Moretz, Poppy Delevingne, and Hilary Rhoda remind us that looking good doesn't mean going over the top. With their streamlined cocktail frocks, cocktail-chic printed pants (we're looking at you, Poppy!), and dressed-up jeans, this crew serves as a pretty perfect jolt of inspiration for our own weekly wardrobe. Inside, we've pulled from more of our favorites — like Gwyneth Paltrow in the most styled of travel ensembles and Carolyn Murphy in one insanely sexy LBD. Click on for these and the rest of our top 10.

Gap just previewed its Fall 2012 collection, and we're happy to report that the brand is heading back to its cool classic style. Staying true to its Americana roots, the brand created a covetable collection filled with must-have basics — with a refreshing twist. Tailored wool blazers were dipped in rich autumnal hues, sweaters were embellished with thoughtful suede elbow patches, and classic khakis and denim were translated into slouchy, modern silhouettes. Meanwhile, statement pieces, like printed trousers and dotted denim shirts, provided a novelty touch to the line. We especially loved the white long-sleeve shirtdress (perfect for Winter layering) and cute accessories via cozy scarves, wedge sandals, and colored ballet flats. Take a look at the rest of Gap's Fall lookbook now and tell us what you think in the comments section below.

The ivory pleated cutout dress that Mischa Barton wore to the Women For Women International Gala in London last night teaches a valuable lesson in fashion: that given the right circumstance, any trend can be fabulous. Take for example cutouts; when on a super-tight minidress, they can scream tacky, but pair cutouts with accordion pleats and voila, they instantly become classy. What we appreciate most about Mischa's chosen frock is that the silky fabric and accordion pleats make it sophisticated, while the side cutouts lend much-needed sass and youthfulness. Together they make a dynamic duo worth dabbling in. Inspired by Mischa's look, we set out to find equally classy-cum-sassy pleated cutout pieces to add to your wardrobe. Shop your favorite below.

Molly Sims is due to have her first baby in June, and we've noticed that pregnancy has definitely changed her style. For one, she's obsessed with flowy maxi dresses now. During a recent chat with the mom-to-be at the LA launch of Kishani Perera's new interiors book, she confirmed our observations when she described her maternity style: "The key word is flowy; fitted is no longer a word in my pregnant vocabulary," Molly told us. The actress has been gravitating toward two designers in particular. "Rachel Pally dresses have been a lifesaver," she spilled. "I also have been rocking my Isabel Marant long skirts." As for what prepregnancy styles she misses? "Pants, especially skinny jeans." Though we love Molly in flowy frocks, we can't wait to see her back in her skinny jeans! In the meantime, shop some of her favorite aforementioned styles because baby bump or not, they're still fabulous.
