We've seen Katie Holmes trotting around NYC with Suri lately in casual, laid-back attire, so we were excited to see her dressed up for a night out last evening. Katie started off with some tight, quilted leather pants, which she balanced out with a floaty, feminine cream cami. A cream blazer lends structure and polish, and black accessories complete her dinner-ready ensemble. Watch today's Fab Flash to hear more! On Allison McNamara: Topshop blazer, American Apparel top, Rebekah Price necklace.
While grabbing lunch in Studio City, Rachel Bilson stuck to her simple yet snazzy style in a black tee and these Current/Elliott denim shorts ($178) with exposed striped pockets. Her new white Chanel bag, Ray-Ban Wayfarers, and these ShoeMint leopard booties ($80) also accompanied her casual cool LA style. If you've been looking for new denim shorts to spend Summer in, we recommend Rachel's pair — the striped exposed pocket detail will make you stand out among a sea of denim cutoffs. As for her leopard booties, they'll take you from Summer to Fall flawlessly, so they're definitely worth the buy.
Kristen Stewart attended the 2012 Comic-Con in San Diego showcasing a hot new fashion formula: a white cropped Fluxus tee and bright-yellow bandage BCBGMAXAZRIA skirt, finished off with black high-top Barbara Bui sneakers — here is the gold version ($680). Both bandage skirts and sneakers are trendy on their own, but we love the way Kristen brought them together for a sexy-slash-sporty pairing. Next time you're about to reach for your bandage skirt, don't forget to grab your sneakers, too. The look is way fresher and funkier than the usual bandage skirts with platform heels. Get started by shopping our favorite Kristen-inspired bandage skirt and sneaker pairings below.
Our fashionable favorites were out in full force on social media this week. We caught up with Alexa Chung and Poppy Delevingne flaunting silly faces for the camera and Behati Prinsloo working a pair of wings during a Victoria's Secret fitting. Solange Knowles inspired us to buy a bike, pronto, while Rashida Jones took in a fancy meal with Brad Goreski and his boyfriend, Gary Janetti, in London. Click through now to catch up on it all, and don't forget to follow FabSugar on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram!
Neon jeans have been a hot item for a while now, but we think Summer is the best time to wear them. For inspiration, look no further than these four ladies: Ashley Greene in a neon yellow pair, Eva Longoria in neon coral skinny jeans, and Jessica Alba in neon green and neon pink. Whether you wear your neon denim with a tee and flat sandals for day or a fancy top and heels at night, just remember to keep the spotlight on your limbs. If you don't yet own a pair of neon skinny jeans, shop our favorites, including Jessica Alba's exact Current/Elliott neon green pair, below.
The blue denim skirt is having a serious moment this Summer, and we've got seven stylish celebs putting their personal spins on the jean staple. It's a laid-back piece that packs a versatile punch, as proven by Poppy Delevingne's sophisticated silk blouse-and-glitter Givenchy sandal combo, Katie Holmes's cool-girl boot accents, and Olivia Palermo's beach-perfect open weave sweater complement. Since we know that denim anything is an every-season must have, it's time to take a closer (read: weeklong) look at how the quintessential blue jean skirt can go from day to night, casual to cocktail ready, and retro to modern day minimalist. Courtesy of Eva Mendes, Kirsten Dunst, and Rebecca Minkoff, and more, here are seven days worth of denim skirt ensembles right at your fingertips.
The white button-down is a classic and looks particularly fresh during warm Summer months. Whether you prefer sleeveless, tied at the bottom, long-sleeve, loose-fitting, or fitted, now is the perfect time to draw inspiration on how to wear your white button-downs. We love how Anna Kendrick worked her utilitarian blouse with a full black skirt, how Miranda Kerr sported her sleeveless Equipment blouse with A.L.C. tuxedo pants, and the way Carmen Electra paired her white blouse with coral jeans. See five stylish celebrities working white button-downs in unique ways, then shop your favorite looks for yourself.
Supermodel Karlie Kloss might be busy conquering the world one fashion magazine cover at a time, but that didn't stop the jet-setting American beauty from chatting with us at the Summer of Doing celebrity volunteer event in New York City earlier this week. "I had breakfast in Paris, lunch in London, and dinner in New York," said Kloss. "So I'm a little jet-lagged today." While helping restore a mosaic wall at the Jacob H. Schiff playground, Karlie took time out to talk about her most memorable modeling moment(s), traveling with her family, and who she looks up to in the industry. "Someone I really look up to is Cindy Crawford," said Kloss. "She really represents the picture of health. It's all about nutrition and fitness and just living a healthy, balanced lifestyle." Read what else she had to say below:
- On shopping while traveling: I brought my sisters back a few souvenirs, but nothing for me. I never get anything for me. I have three sisters, so my suitcase is full with presents for everybody else!
- On the most memorable thing she has gotten for herself: I like to pack light—I like to collect little charms everywhere I go, so something small to trigger the memory of all the special trips I get to take.
