Fancy Pants! The Best Printed and Embellished Bottoms to Snag Now

As the Summer season rounds itself out nicely, we've got our eye on more than a few pairs of, well, fancy pants.

As the Summer season rounds itself out nicely, we've got our eye on more than a few pairs of, well, fancy pants. Let's face it, sometimes a classic denim wash or jet-black trouser just doesn't satisfy our styling appetite. For a definitely more punched-up seasonal transition, we're thinking the sky's the limit in terms of print, embellishment, and downright cool textural design. More specifically, it's all about psychedelic paisley prints in rich Fall-ready hues, a pop of leopard spots against a verdant green metallic jacquard, and the most retro-meets-ladylike polka dots to grace an ankle-cut pant. These bottoms are dynamic statement pieces, perfect with a simple sandal and tee for the incoming dog days and just as compatible with a knitted oversized sweater and slingback pump for the cooler times ahead, too. Click through for our favorite fancy pants now.

SJP to Play a Vogue Editor on Glee, Anna Wintour to Help With Costumes

We're excited to bring you the best fashion finds, shopping stories, and style news from one of our favorite sites, Fashionista.

We're excited to bring you the best fashion finds, shopping stories, and style news from one of our favorite sites, Fashionista. Today, we're finding out what Sarah Jessica Parker, Anna Wintour, and Glee have in common.
We must admit, we haven't tuned into Glee in a while. Lea Michele's character just started to wear on us (it's not you Jane Lynch!). But we might DVR the start of season four to see Sarah Jessica Parker in her role as the manager of Vogue.com. Especially since she'll be outfitted by Anna Wintour herself.

Last week Glee creator Ryan Murphy revealed that Sarah Jessica Parker would guest star in a few episodes of the next season of the (once) hit series. He told Access Hollywood that SJP's character would be "running Vogue.com" (apparently Chris Colfer's character will be working for her) and recently tweeted, "Guess who's helping us with Sarah Jessica Parker's costumes on Glee? The Amazing Anna Wintour!"

Sarah Jessica Parker is no stranger to playing a Voguette of course—as Carrie Bradshaw she was a contributing editor. (Also we love that she's working for the digital side, woot!) But if Glee seems slightly less-Vogue than Sex and the City, let us remind you that Wintour's daughter Bee Shaffer works for Murphy's production company. Way to work those family connections!

Mango's Fall 2012 Lookbook Gets the Kate Moss Treatment

We just spotted Kate Moss's latest Fall campaign with Mango — her third with the Spanish retailer — and guess what?

We just spotted Kate Moss's latest Fall campaign with Mango — her third with the Spanish retailer — and guess what? Kate looks every bit the part of autumnal-inspired cool, making us wish it was chilly enough to slip into our own denim-and-boyfriend blazer combos, too. As part of Mango's 107-page Fall catalog, the British beauty poses in a plethora of classic cold weather wares, like a textured white sweater paired with siren red cigarette jeans, and edgier takes on layering, like moto-chic leather jacket styled with the quintessential LBD and cap-toe pumps. Bottom line: Mango's Fall pieces are the kind of seasonal staples every girl should have at the top of their must-have list, and who better to show them off than Kate? Don't underestimate what you might find rifling through the racks at Kohl's — with designer collections like Vera Wang's Simply Vera line, the mass retailer may just be the perfect place you haven't yet thought of for picking up a few cool pieces to round out your Fall wardrobe. We just got a peek at the Simply Vera lineup for the upcoming Autumn and once again, Wang distinguishes her label with contemporary, polished essentials that maintain a touch of the designer's feminine whimsy. • We'll take this leather-like poncho to style up the chicest rainy-day gear come Fall.
  • We love the versatility of these essential Fall ankle boots. Slip them on with tights, leather leggings, a sweet dress . . . the options are endless.
  • This chiffon slip dress is equal parts feminine and totally modern. We'd wear it bare-legged with stilettos for a cocktail party and layered up with tights and a chunky cardigan to take it to the office.
