It's Friday — hooray! — and apart from the ever-mounting excitement of the weekend ahead, we've got to say: this past week was seriously fun. Perhaps you already had a hunch if you've been keeping tabs on our Instagram feed (oh you didn't? Well, follow us right this way). Between scouting out David Beckham's life-sized statues around New York City, catching a quick Tanlines set at the launch of Prabal Gurung's ICB collection with Barneys, and admiring the gorgeous florals at the Clos du Bois Rouge party, it's a wonder we made it past Wednesday. Alas, yesterday evening's nationwide Madewell #mixwellwithFab event was definitely the highlight of our week — denim, styling, cocktails, and mini cupcakes? What else do you need? Catch up on all of our Madewell fun, plus more, when you keep clicking.

With only 10 style spots to fill, the race for best dressed was a close one this week. When you've got Nikki Reed making a powerful pink statement in a LOFT drop-waist dress and slick Tibi sandals, Selita Ebanks putting a silky chinoiserie twist on her white denim look, and Camilla Belle perfecting the art of ladylike silhouettes in Jason Wu, well, you can understand why these chic starlets took top styling honors. It wasn't only about red-carpet attire, though, and to make sure we got an equally cool dose of casual panache, Doutzen Kroes, Ellen Pompeo, and Rachel Bilson put their off-duty wares to the test. Meet this week's top 10, right this way.
Happy Friday! Ready to find out our top stars of the week? This week celebrities turned heads in sleek and chic red-carpet looks, sweet mixed-print styles, and refreshing takes on the classic black and white combo. Quirky accessories took Michelle Williams's look to new heights, Nikki Reed's dynamic hot-pink and edgy black leather combo lit her up, while Kate Beckinsale perfected proportions in black and white separates. And let's not forget Rachel Bilson, Kristen Bell, Lea Michele, and Elizabeth Olsen, who sported noteworthy looks of their own. Get inspired by our latest style standouts, then shop their looks to spice up your wardrobe.
Lady Gaga made an appearance — albeit a way less dramatic one than she normally does — in Vienna. Her all-black ensemble included black leather pants, an off-shoulder long-sleeved tee, black suede bow pumps, blacked-out shades, and a black wide-rimmed hat. The only color in Gaga's look was her Louis Vuitton bag. We love that her loose-fitting top revealed her delicate shoulders and that her bow pumps added much-needed daintiness to her monochromatic outfit. Mimic one of Gaga's most wearable ensembles when you want drama but don't feel very colorful.
Jessica Alba was spotted in LA wearing a cobalt Kate Frances blazer, red Stun sunglasses, star-print Current/Elliott jeans ($259), and killer cutout sandals, but it was her Cobra Society black tribal-print bag ($850) that had us doing a double take. This purse is dying to be toted around, and we can't get enough of the mix of leather and wool, not to mention the awesome gold logo and tassel detail. It feeds into the structured-bag trend but also has a unique edge thanks to the printed sides. Score Jessica's exact bag now and make it your go-to this Fall and Winter.
Thanks to style setters like Chloe Sevigny and Jenna Lyons, the geeky glasses trend has hit hard (and full disclosure — I'm completely obsessed with mine). Whether or not you have a prescription, a pair of geek-chic frames can add a cool, quirky vibe to your ensemble and is one of the quickest and easiest ways to get a bookish babe look in a snap.
