Gwen Stefani shopped at a party supply store in LA for son Zuma's birthday, so it's fitting that she also had a little arm party of her own with this Cynthia Desser blue snakeskin cuff ($195). The singer completed her laid-back style with round tortoise sunglasses — get a similar pair by Kate Spade ($128) — and a Louis Vuitton crossbody bag. Score Gwen's exact blue cuff to spice up your t-shirt and jeans or wear it with a leather dress at night. Sport it solo, like Gwen did, or match it with your favorite bracelets for a major arm party. If it's too pricey for you, this Leighelena blue lizard cuff ($105) is equally standout.
The real test of a trend's likeability and longevity can be narrowed down to one factor: are people wearing it? This Summer, there's no argument as to what pieces have been coveted most and what staples will most likely live to see the leaves change — as showcased (brilliantly, we might add) by a global batch of street-style pros. This chic crew has proven in stylish spades that the loudest prints are in demand, that the '90s-Americana denim jacket was made for complementing your most romantic dresses, and that your edgiest leather accents certainly have a place in your warm-weather wardrobe. From statement hues and dynamic bottoms to crisp, all-white ensembles and ultrafeminine details, we're breaking down the Summer's best (and boldest) trends with some help from our favorite street stylers.
Your shortcut to street-style trendspotting:
- Opt for Americana-cool in a denim jacket
- Add interest via the eclectic printed tee
- Go the slick route with a black blazer

- Work it in a dynamic printed bottom
- See the maxi effect in action

At Vena Cava's Fall collection party in LA, we got a chance to chat with Malin Akerman all about fashion, but she wasn't the only star we connected with that night. Sophia Bush also spilled all her style secrets to us! About her personal style, Sophia told us: "It’s eclectic. One of the things that I appreciate the most about fashion is it allows you to dress for your mood in addition to dressing for the weather or the locale." During Summer, Sophia loves " . . . light, comfortable dresses. You don’t want to be more affected by the heat than we all already are being in LA," she said. "Really for me it’s about being comfortable, fabric that’s light, airy, and feminine." And finally, with Fall on the horizon, what are some pieces Sophia is looking forward to wearing? "Fall I’m always excited for coats, leather leggings, and really masculine, androgynous blazers." Noted. Shop some of Sophia's favorite pieces below to achieve her unique aesthetic.
In Hollywood, trends come and go in a flash, but there is one bold bag line that has been a favorite among celebrity starlets for quite some time. Simone Camille's vibrant one-of-a-kind embellished purses have been toted by some of the most stylish trendsetters around the globe. Heidi Klum worked her bright crossbody bag with a white dress and fedora, Kourtney Kardashian styled her hobo with knit shorts and sky-high wedges, while Miley Cyrus went punk chic with her aztec-print bag in shredded leggings and a plaid button-down. Check out which other celebrities have been spotted carrying these bohemian bags, then shop one (or more!) for yourself.
Classic style calls to mind the usual lineup of chic wardrobe staples — the crisp white button-down, a wide-leg trouser, camel coats, perfect jeans, and ballet flats — and an easy way of looking put-together without much styling fuss. Certain women emerge victorious in this classic style category, just by adhering to a low-key brand of Fall-minded elegance. We're looking at you, Gwyneth Paltrow. But before Gwyneth, and before the trench-coat stylings of Alexa Chung, the very beginnings of great classic style can be traced back to the likes of icons Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, Ali MacGraw, and an effortlessly cool Françoise Hardy (pictured). To add to the growing list, we've also got modern-day starlets Angelina Jolie, Kate Middleton, and Reese Witherspoon to take cues from — they too have cultivated their own approaches to traditional Fall outfits. Trends come and go, but these women show us how to capture timeless beauty with a no-fail minimalist flair. To channel a similar Fall sensibility, get inspired by these 31 classic style icons now.
Long pleated skirts are a great way to look breezy for Summer, as well as cover up your legs in style during Fall. So let's look to three celebrities — Jennifer Lawrence, Daisy Lowe, and Mena Suvari — who have all mastered the trend. Jennifer toured Paris this Summer wearing a classic ivory pleated maxi skirt with a gray tank and a Tory Burch bag; Daisy worked her midi turquoise pleated skirt in an edgier way with a black leather jacket and black biker boots; and Mena kept it sassy in an orange pleated maxi with a white crop top, oversized clutch, and Vince Camuto sandals ($50, originally $69). Whether your style aesthetic is classic, rocker, or trendy, work a pleated maxi skirt into your Summer and Fall wardrobe. Keep your other items minimal for now, then layer it way up when the weather chills.
For the Fall transition, we're excited to slip on a pair of matchstick pants to pair with our fresh crop of sweaters, silky boyfriend tops, and blazers. Cut close to the body and cropped right at the ankle, matchstick pants are universally flattering and add a slightly more formal touch to your everyday look. Designers like Jason Wu, Etro, and Isabel Marant — we love her fringed rendition, seen above — showed a wide array of saturated colors and textured fabrics that's sure to add an unexpected element of sleek splendor to any Fall look. Style them with suede ankle boots or a pair of pointed-toe pumps for a decidedly retro cool tilt on Fall dressing — shop our editors' picks at all price points now.

Gossip Girl Blake Lively was spotted wearing a pink printed maxi dress by Juicy Couture on the NYC set before getting into costume for her character Serena van der Woodsen. The actress accessorized her breezy dress with a black cloche hat — one of her favorite toppers — a Chanel chain-link bag, and tan sandals. To get Blake's look before Summer wraps, shop our favorite similar printed maxi dresses below. Don't forget to top it with a cloche, like this black one from Nordstrom ($38), a statement bag, and flat sandals.
