Follow Suit on Kate Hudson's Sexier Version of Menswear
Kate Hudson owns her domain as a bohemian style setter, but her latest appearance in an Alexander McQueen tuxedo pantsuit at the Glee season four premiere makes us think she's moved on to conquer the menswear-inspired look, too. While we're certainly fans of embracing the borrowed-from-the-boys trend, it's refreshing to see this style countered with its direct opposite: a sensual brand of femininity. Cultivate your own girlie spin on the androgynous look with our Kate Hudson-inspired styling tips and shopping picks below.

- Kate's low-cut lace chemise top showed off just the right amount of skin, reminding you that, despite her modest tailored suit, there's a woman underneath. If you're not a fan of revealing too much décolletage, we recommend a semisheer appliqué-style blouse — something that hints at skin-baring appeal, but doesn't give anything away.
- Take into consideration her chunky gold bangles, black and gold clutch, and studded Brian Atwood pumps — together, these accents injected a sexier edge to her menswear ensemble. You don't necessarily have to go the same route, but one thing we think is crucial? A strong, sexy heel.
- If you want to take this bold pantsuit look from day to night, you can, and here's how. For an office-appropriate feel, keep the sex appeal toned down. Instead of a lacy camisole, try a silky button-up blouse. Then, ditch the matching blazer for a skinny belt, gold stud earrings, and a sleek black pump. Come nightfall, throw your blazer on, switch out the blouse for an embellished tank top, add a red lip, and you're out the door.
Not Surprisingly, Olivia Palermo Shows the Perfect Fall Look at NYFW
As far as style is concerned, Olivia Palermo is always on our must-watch (and must-mimic) list; the only difference with Fashion Week is that we get to see more from the styling pro — though this may just be our favorite thus far. While bouncing from show to show, we spotted Olivia showing off this take on easy Fall elegance. Relying on a relaxed, luxe-looking draped maxi, Olivia went to work adding in her eclectic touches — like a structured military jacket and belt for contrast. To finish it off, she looked to a pair of Nine West ankle-strap heels and a croc clutch. Altogether, it's an expert balancing act in polished, but not overly complicated, chic dressing that could seamlessly go from day to night — as one often does with a hectic Fashion Week schedule.

Proenza Schouler Spring 2013
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez churned out an array of patchwork leather, digital prints, and grommets for Proenza Schouler's Spring '13 collection — bold and bright as ever. The duo were inspired by the digital world, "the Internet, the images you're bombarded with, and the collage of information that you get every day," said Hernandez. With that notion in mind, the designers pieced together an array of bright leathers to create structured vests, oversize perforated jackets, skirts, and dresses. In between all of the in-your-face leather, there were satin dresses and tops showcasing the same collage technique with digital prints featuring images like kids at a pool, crowds of people, and beach scenes. It's a given that this isn't a collection for wallflowers, but statement makers like front-row attendees Kate Bosworth and Alexa Chung are sure to give these pieces a go. For the finale, the designers highlighted digital-printed dresses adorned with neon pink or green buttons on top and grommet detailing on the bottom. It was controlled chaos, and we loved every second of it.
- Trends: Leather, patchwork, bright colors, digital prints, embellishment.
- Colors: Red, lime green, black, white, navy, pink, turquoise.
- Key Piece: The photo-printed dress embellished with hot-pink buttons and metal grommets.
- Accessories: Cutout platform sandals, knee-high gladiator sandals, tough paillette and printed bags, grommet-detailed platform sandals
- Who Should Wear It: Bold statement makers like front-row attendees Kate Bosworth, Alexa Chung, and Kirsten Dunst.
Look of the Day: Toughing Up Bubble Gum
We're loving how it's quickly becoming jacket weather and this denim and leather jacket Fab reader CBladyalamode has on quickly caught our eye. We love how she took a white button-up, tucked it into a bubblegum pink skirt, and threw on the jacket for an unexpected bit of toughness. What was once uptown prim and proper has suddenly received a downtown edge. Throw on a crossbody bag, boots, and you're good for almost anything the day will throw at you.
Congrats, CBladyalamode!
Everyone else, submit your looks, and we might just feature you on FabSugar!
