The X Factor judge Demi Lovato loves pretty dresses, especially colorful ones from Topshop, but what she loves more is juxtaposing them with tough leather biker jackets. Whether she's promoting her new show, performing on stage, or hitting up a Hollywood event, the singer can usually be spotted in a flirty number finished with an edgy leather jacket with studs, zippers, and snap buttons. Check out Demi in a bevy of stylish biker jackets, then shop similar styles for yourself.
This week in the world of social media, we caught up with some of our fashion favorites during their moments of work and play. MargheritaMissoni snapped a self-portrait, showing off her recent haircut and fresh-faced beauty. Things got fishy for Chrissy Teigen, who goofed around during a cooking class, while Cara Delevingne censored herself in a graphic t-shirt. Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas may have had the best week ever, as she got to meet one of her favorite stars: Nina Dobrev.

Model Jessica Hart was spotted leaving the hair salon looking wildly fashionable in a leopard top and black leather shorts. With the weather still warm in NYC, she finished off with black t-strap flat sandals and threw a black jacket over her black chain-strap bag. To make Jessica's ensemble more Fall-appropriate for the upcoming season, just throw on black opaque tights and ditch the sandals for a pair of black booties. Finish with a blazer to polish things up or this faux leather bomber jacket from Urban Outfitters ($99) for a sportier vibe.
It's always a little sad saying goodbye to Summer. Fortunately, there's the promise of a new Fall wardrobe to soften the blow, and a destination like T.J.Maxx, where you can shop all your favorite designers — without the upscale prices.
Which trends should be first on your list? This Fall, start carrying on with a more structured bag in a bold hue, or add your own pop of color with a patterned scarf sash. Colored denim is a definite "do" for this season, especially paired with a layered sweater or an all-the-rage peplum silhouette. For a touch of sparkle that goes from day to night, look for a statement-making bib necklace to up the ante of any ensemble.
Need more Fall fashion inspiration? "Like" T.J.Maxx on Facebook to see a slideshow of the season's hottest trends, and find a store in your area where you can shop it all for up to 60% off department store prices.

Kim Kardashian hit the purple carpet at Silk Road Nightclub in Australia in a fun end-of-Summer ensemble: a colorful tropical-print Alexander McQueen dress and pointed white pumps. As of late Kim has been sporting lots of dark hues, like her all-black pairing complete with ankle-chain Tom Ford sandals, so this bold blossoming look is a welcome change. Re-create Kim's eye-catching style with this tropical-print Motel Zoe dress ($19, originally $49) and white pumps to turn heads at an evening fête.
Miuccia Prada looked to Japan for Prada's Spring '13 collection — and the results were magically quirky. While last Spring's offerings were all about bright, '50-inspired floral prints, Miuccia flipped the switch this season, showing a color palette that consisted mostly of black, white, and red. The show opened up with structured silk box jackets, adorned with either a single floral print or appliqué, paired with sharp skirts — and leave it to the designer to pair all of her ensembles with metallic leather sock shoes or block platforms. The designer also showcased some covetable tops and statement coats; knits with pretty floral embellishments and short sleeve fur tops and coats decorated with bright red floral prints. Dresses ranged from flattering sheath silhouettes to more elaborate pleated renditions. Quirky indeed, but we can already imagine the long line of admirers — like Kirsten Dunst and Alexa Chung — waiting to get a piece of it for their next red-carpet appearance.
While Gwyneth Paltrow wore a white Tom Ford number at an Obama fundraiser in London, her gal pal Cameron Diaz opted for a soft-pink jumpsuit from designer Emilia Wickstead's Fall 2012 collection.
While Gwyneth Paltrow wore a white Tom Ford number at an Obama fundraiser in London, her gal pal Cameron Diaz opted for a soft-pink jumpsuit from designer Emilia Wickstead's Fall 2012 collection. She styled her monochromatic getup with a matching pink belt, white platform sandals, a gold cuff, and a white cocktail ring. We absolutely adore Cameron's latest ensemble, but we also recognize that it's not that easily translatable if you're not going to, say, a fancy Obama party. That's why we set out to re-create the look in a more casual way via this J.Crew boatneck top ($33) and these pink trousers from Bloomingdale's ($99). You can also swap the pants for pink jeans for an even more laid-back vibe or get this Asos pink one-shoulder jumpsuit ($87) for something more dressy.
