Two of our favorite Aussies, Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman, stepped out in style for the AACTA Awards. While Cate channeled her inner glamazon and went ultrasexy in a floor-length red sequined gown by Armani Privé, Nicole took the ladylike route in a soft, yellow Erdem strapless. It was announced last week that Kate Hudson was re-signed as the face of Ann Taylor's Spring '13 campaign, and today, we present you with an exclusive one-on-one clip with Kate, straight from the shoot at LA's Milk Studios. Kate talks candidly about the progression of the brand, shares her love for the shift to bolder prints and sharper lines, and reveals what Ann Taylor staple helps her go incognito at the airport. Apart from what the actress dishes on in our exclusive video below, we know this isn't the only thing Kate's taking on during her time as an Ann Taylor ambassador. She's also expanding her horizons with a Summer capsule collection. While the line may be a collaborative effort with Ann Taylor's creative director, Lisa Axelson, it still officially marks Kate's first foray into fashion design. Slated to hit stores in May, the capsule will feature looks inspired by Kate's red-carpet style, albeit with an everyday-wearable twist. Now, press "play" to catch up on all Kate has to say about the latest Spring '13 campaign and more.

Gap Summer '13 Supplies Us With Neon, Stripes, and a Bit of Edge

The Gap Summer 2013 forecast?

The Gap Summer 2013 forecast? Sunny with neon pops of orange, pink, and yellow; a strong chance of denim on denim with tie-dye showers with a nice beachy open-weave sweater and canvas bag breeze. In all seriousness, though, there's always a sense of classic Americana built into Gap's collections season after season, but for the warmer months ahead, expect there to be a little bit more edge involved. While there's enough Nantucket girl (fresh stripes, printed shorts, and crisp button-ups) to serve us well in the prep-inspired getaway category, we're also seeing a lot of rocker-chick references. Slightly frayed denim cutoffs in washed-out fades, bleached denim tie-dye shirts, and a light-wash jean moto jacket all make the cut. Styled together, this mix offers easy — and price-point friendly — ways to tap into Summer's iconic and trendier staples in one go.

Selena Gomez Plays Hostess to Coach and Nylon Dinner — Who's Most Fab?

Last night in LA, Nylon magazine and Coach teamed up to celebrate its February issue with an intimate dinner hosted by cover girl Selena Gomez at LA's Soho.

Last night in LA, Nylon magazine and Coach teamed up to celebrate its February issue with an intimate dinner hosted by cover girl Selena Gomez at LA's Soho. The hostess, who was stylishly clad in an Atelier Versace patchwork minidress with neon Nicholas Kirkwood pumps, had her closest pals on hand for the festivities. Jaime King looked sophisticated in a wide-leg ivory jumpsuit by Elie Saab and Jimmy Choo metallic pumps, Ashley Tisdale opted for a more feminine LBD with bright blue suede Christian Louboutin pumps, while Ashley Benson also went the cocktail-dress route in an ASOS dress with sheer detailing and basic black peep-toes. Bold footwear seemed to be the theme for Gomez and Tisdale, while Benson and Tisdale were on the same style wavelength in their LBDs. Take a good look at these four well-dressed starlets, then tell us, which dinner guest is your best dressed?

Simone Rocha Debuts on Net-a-Porter — Snag Chloë's Neon Dress

We credit Chloë Moretz's unforgettably bright Simone Rocha number at the People's Choice Awards with putting the designer on our radar (in a big way).

We credit Chloë Moretz's unforgettably bright Simone Rocha number at the People's Choice Awards with putting the designer on our radar (in a big way). Now, not only is Rocha one of the newest featured designers on Net-a-Porter, but you can actually snag Chloë's neon embroidered organza dress ($1,540), too. That is, if the vibrant yellow hue and lofty price tag hit all the right notes for you and your Spring wardrobe wish list. While we're pretty sure this isn't the kind of dress that proves a universally viable shopping option, it's too cute to forgo altogether. Thus, we've gone ahead and scouted out similarly colorful embroidered dresses for your perusal. You can style your match á la Chloë — with black heels and little else — or play with the idea of "opposites attract" by offsetting the girlie sensibility with a menswear-inspired twist (read: brogues).

As for the impressive lady behind the dressmaking? We're really looking forward to seeing what Rocha has in store for us come London Fashion Week. So far, the 26-year old Central Saint Martins grad has delivered three standout collections, earned an Emerging Talent nomination at the 2012 British Fashion Awards, and garnered a pretty cool A-list clientele. Please see above for further proof. While we wait on which celeb will wear the designer's creations next — and what she'll put forth for Fall '13 — shop the exact Simone Rocha neon dress here or click through our inspired-by picks below.

Step Up Your Sneaker Game With Keds x Madewell

It's not the first — in fact, it's the third time!
Keds Madewell Collection

It's not the first — in fact, it's the third time! — Madewell's joined forces with Keds, giving us another limited-edition lineup of classic kicks to further our sneaker obsession. Think sweeter (not quite as sporty as the velcroed, high-top wedges making the rounds lately) with florals, polka dots, eyelet, and geometric diamonds among the five styles available. Born from the heritage brands' accessible, feminine aesthetics, they're sneakers that marry the old-school Keds vibe with a girlier feel, while the cool patterns make them an accessory with the potential to cheer up whole outfits — even your grayest Winter gear. Surely that makes them worth the $62-$75? Slip into your own pair right now; that's right, there's no waiting game till Spring — select styles are available now in stores and online with the rest rolling out next month. Click on for a glimpse of every style — and if you're in need of a little retail therapy, there's no time like the present to start shopping.

Leather Pants Get a Preppy Makeover, Courtesy of Katharine McPhee

Singer and star of Smash Katharine McPhee attended an event in NYC last night looking superslick in a pair of black leather pants.

Singer and star of Smash Katharine McPhee attended an event in NYC last night looking superslick in a pair of black leather pants. We too are huge fans of the leather look, but as of late we've been searching for a new way to rock our favorite pairs — that's where Katharine comes in. We love that instead of the typical sexy or edgy vibe, the actress opted for a preppy feel that's still totally night-out appropriate. Katharine started with a jewel-collar blouse by Equipment — shop the white version here ($310) — then topped it with a cozy gray crewneck sweater. On bottom, she matched her leather pants with sleek leather booties, then accessorized with a black clutch and just a few gold baubles. Mimic Katharine's latest with our editor-approved pieces below, and note: if you're looking to inject a little more glamour, all you need is a bold red lip to finish it off.

Rihanna's River Island Collection Will Be 'Sassy,' Inspired by London's Cool Kids

Lucky magazine is one of our favorite sources for great shopping tips.

Lucky magazine is one of our favorite sources for great shopping tips. We're thrilled to share this fabulous story from our friends at Lucky!

We can't wait to see Rihanna's designs for UK High Street label River Island come down the runway at next month's London Fashion Week. To tease the forthcoming collab, Vogue UK posted the clip below, in which the Barbadian songstress attends model fittings and examines collection sketches with her co-designer Adam Selman.

The most interesting takeaway from the video? It seems Rihanna's range was largely inspired by the personal style of normal London teens. "The high-end designers are inspired by these kids," she explains. "They say what's cool, the high-end designers go and design it, and I feel like . . . why not go to the source? To be ahead of the trend, and have something inspirational and new and fresh?" Incidentally, the kids in question are exactly who we predict will go crazy for Riri's River Island looks first. Along with us, of course.
