Last night's fourth annual amfAR Inspiration Gala was a prime spot for model and celebrity sightings of the chicest kind. Famous faces (on and off the catwalk) gathered to honor Jennifer Lopez, Alan Cumming, and Valentino Garavani, and treated us to a glamorous lineup of dresses in the process. We spotted Lindsey Wixson and Eniko Mihalik posing in feathered red carpet gowns, Dree Hemingway looking ethereal in white, and, among the model crew, fashion favorites like Shala Monroque in bright candy-apple red and Leigh Lezark hanging with Derek Blasberg. We Dare You to Wear Head-to-Toe Cobalt, Like Hailee Steinfeld

At Women in Film's 2013 Crystal + Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills last night, Hailee Steinfeld impressed us with her expert monochromatic styling skills.

At Women in Film's 2013 Crystal + Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills last night, Hailee Steinfeld impressed us with her expert monochromatic styling skills. Instead of mixing colors like most attendees, the actress stuck with one electric hue: cobalt. She started with a sleeveless suede dress, which featured a pretty pleated skirt. Then she added a cobalt clutch and ankle-strap sandals to match, creating a spotlight-worthy ensemble. Next time you're getting dressed for an evening out (maybe a wedding?), channel Hailee's head-turning effect and pick just one color — in cobalt or any other statement hue. To get Hailee's look, shop similar pieces below.

Myspace Launch Draws a Crew of Hollywood Trendsetters

Young Hollywood was out in full force for last night's Myspace launch event.

Young Hollywood was out in full force for last night's Myspace launch event. The style-setting crowd brought out their best party looks — each with her own unique twist to celebrate at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Olivia Wilde mixed a few major trends, adding a leather jacket to printed denim, and finished the whole look with a pop of red on her heels. Jamie Chung perfected cool-girl eventwear in a printed miniskirt, breezy tank, and statement jewels, while Dianna Agron was the most ladylike of the bunch in a floral-print A-line skirt, white button-up, and pointed-toe heels.

As for the rest, Miley Cyrus and Amy Smart turned out two distinct takes on denim. Miley furthered her fashion transformation with an edgier ensemble that consisted of baggy boyfriend jeans, a slick crop top and jacket, white-hot pumps, and a platinum coif. Amy played it a little more casual in a pair of skinny-fit jeans and a Western-style button-down with suede booties to finish it off. Now that you've gotten the outfit breakdowns, it's time to cast your vote. Who was last night's best dressed?

Erdem Matches Collection

We have a unique opportunity to snag one of Erdem's gorgeous archival prints, thanks to the designer's exclusive capsule collection for MatchesFashion.com. The newly launched, six-piece collaboration is a dressed-down version of Erdem Moralioglu's famous florals.

In revisiting the archives, Moralioglu told Matches: "I looked at [Fall 2009, Spring 2009] and also found a print that was never used from a Spring collection. I reprinted them on fabrics that I hadn't used before, such as stretch cotton for the trousers and cotton poplin for the tops with sweet little white collars. The original garments were cut in silk satin or washed silk crepes."

If his runway collections are usually for the red carpet set, this lineup is for the everyday sophisticate, meant to be mixed and matched with denim and your favorite white button-down. In every outfit you create with them, they'll undoubtedly be the standouts — just click on to shop the limited-edition pieces.

BCBG Max Azria Resort 2014: Festivus For the Rest of Us

Lubov Azria's trip to the Coachella music festival in April became a touch point for her Resort 2014 collection, which is filled with the kind of flirty, bohemian garments all the cool girls wear in Indio.

Lubov Azria's trip to the Coachella music festival in April became a touch point for her Resort 2014 collection, which is filled with the kind of flirty, bohemian garments all the cool girls wear in Indio. (To be fair, they're also the kind of garments girls probably would have worn to New York's Governors Ball if rain hadn't turned Randall's Island into one big mud pit.)

But next year, if clearer skies allow it, we wouldn't be surprised to see Azria's khaki romper or patchwork bomber jacket strolling around the grounds at both festivals, and the many handkerchief-hem dresses wouldn't be out of place either. Another romper, which combines floral short shorts and a strappy bustier, would look right at home on a performer like Azealia Banks.

There are a few more business-like pieces in this collection, though, like a gray shift dress accentuated with a drawstring waist, and a sleeveless white jumpsuit with patch pockets.

Rebecca Minkoff Resort 2014: The Softer Side of Grunge

While not quite as subversive or dark, Rebecca Minkoff's Resort collection channeled a bit of the grungier tomboy we first met in the Fall 2013 lineup.

While not quite as subversive or dark, Rebecca Minkoff's Resort collection channeled a bit of the grungier tomboy we first met in the Fall 2013 lineup. Yes, she wears skirts, but not without a printed sweatshirt tied around her waist and a safety-pin tee on top. Yes, she'll wear a bright floral jacket, but only if it comes with zipper-covered pink jeans. And yes, she'll wear a little Summer dress, given it's an electric blue leather mini, complete with a zippered leg slit. As for bags, which remain the designer's signature accessory, they came in neons, pebbled black leather, and clear plastic.

Altuzarra Resort 2014: Back to the '70s, but With Modern Appeal

Joseph Altuzarra isn't the first designer to draw inspiration from the easygoing spirit and style of the '70s, but his Resort 2014 collection brings all that breezy sensibility to new heights.

Joseph Altuzarra isn't the first designer to draw inspiration from the easygoing spirit and style of the '70s, but his Resort 2014 collection brings all that breezy sensibility to new heights.

There are, for example, no shortage of dresses that would float almost entirely away from the body if they weren't cinched in with broad braided belts — a white strapless version had bishop sleeves so voluminous they looked like they could take flight. And while many of the trousers followed a similarly outward-bound route, there were some spectacular tailored garments, too. The most interesting among them had skillfully crafted lace details. A black suit, for example, had insets that showed off the wearer's upper arm and strategic parts of the torso, and the lace on a pale rose sheath dress mimicked a thigh slit. Those details kept this collection sexy, but not overtly so.

It's a Love-Hate Thing: 12 Designers Weigh In on Kate Middleton's Style

Love her style, hate her style, or love to hate her style: it seems that quite a few fashion designers have had something to say about Kate Middleton's sartorial choices.

Love her style, hate her style, or love to hate her style: it seems that quite a few fashion designers have had something to say about Kate Middleton's sartorial choices. Roberto Cavalli is the latest to speak out about the Duchess of Cambridge, and he's hoping to bring out her sexier side. Some industry insiders praise her for wearing high street, while some wish she'd fully embrace the grandeur of "being a princess." With her due date quickly approaching, we can expect even more fashion types to weigh in on her maternity and postbaby style. But for now, a look at Middleton's effect on the fashion world below.

Christopher Kane
"It's a shame she doesn't wear more designers. I don't really like the high street getting so much of the credit. I understand that there would be an array because you need to relate to so many people in the market, but she is a princess. If I were a princess, I'd be like, 'Oh yeah, bring it on.'"
— in a November 2011 interview with WWD.

Karl Lagerfeld
"Kate Middleton has a nice silhouette and she is the right girl for that boy. I like that kind of woman, I like romantic beauties."
— in an interview with The Sun.

More designers weigh in, here.
