Alexander Wang's Spring 2014 Campaign Was Shot on a Toilet

Let's talk about the layers in Alexander Wang's Spring 2014 campaign, which made its debut on Twitter this week. The ads feature model Anna Ewers posing in a girls' bathroom.

The first shot from the campaign, photographed by Steven Meisel, catches two pairs of shoes from Wang's last collection sticking out from underneath stall doors, while the second — which will appear on a billboard in New York City next week — shows Ewers sitting in a sink.

The designer told WWD that the campaign was built on the same ideas of youth culture and censorship (Rihanna, ever the bad girl, has already worn one of the Parental Advisory sweaters from this collection) that informed the runway show. And what could be more youthful than skipping class and swapping trash talk in your high school bathroom?
