A memorial scholarship is being set up in the late Isabella Blow's name to benefit a fashion student at Middlesex University in North London. The scholarship is a fitting way to remember the late stylist and onetime director of Tatler and London's Sunday Times, as she was always keen to discovering and developing new talent. Of the designers that she brought to the limelight, Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan are the best known. Here's to hoping that the budding designer who receives the scholarship will follow in their footsteps.
Though I'm still skeptical about the overuse of wide belts on Cashmere Mafia, there have been some outfits worth knocking off. We're four episodes deep, so I thought it would be fun to compile a slideshow of the most Fab looks from the foursome thus far. Take note of Pat Field's impeccable eye for funky jewelry and feel free to imitate.

Sisters that make jewelry together, stay together . . . or that's how sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder look at it, at least. Together they launched DanniJo Jewels, a jewelry line that allows them both to exercise their fortes. Danielle prefers more carefree bohemian, while Jodie leans toward classic Jackie O. style — together, they meet somewhere in between.
DanniJo has already caught the attention of celebs like Natalie Portman, both for the Fab jewelry and because the collection benefits a Kenyan health clinic through Danielle's charity LWALA. Sounds like these girls know how to make things beautiful, inside and out!
DanniJo Jewelry is available at DanniJoJewels.com and ranges from $100-$700.
In order to alleviate any wardrobe concerns that may come up for breast cancer survivors, Hilary Boyajian has introduced a line of clothing tailored specifically for ladies who deal with breast asymmetry. The name of the brand, Chikara, is quite fitting because it means "strength" in Japanese. Dresses and tops with ruffles, flounces, and gathers, all available in both left and right versions, give the power of fashion back to fabulous and deserving women.
The current collection, which wholesales from $85 to $150, is available at HUMC's Ellen H. Lazar Shoppe on Fifth Avenue in NYC, as well as on the Chikara website. There are plans to roll out to other stores in the near future. A percentage of the sales will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Help spread the good word, my Fab friends!
Spring brings floral prints, bare legs . . . and a new kind of ad campaign for Nordstrom.
The retailer, who has in recent years used the illustrations of one of my favorite artists, Ruben Toledo, for their ads, has decided to go a new direction and have Toledo collaborate with fashion photographer Ruven Afanador.
Ruben painted 20-by-30 foot wall murals in black and white to function as the ad's backdrop, and then took his paintbrush to a new canvas: the models' faces and bodies. Afanador captured the result with his lens, producing beautiful images of Lily Cole, Jenny Sweeny, and Kiera Gormley. Do you dig the new look?
I've never been much of a T-shirt gal, but with all this buzz around the 2008 presidential election candidates, I think it's important to show we're in the know through fashion. These Rock the Vote Tees ($44 each), are stylish enough for us fashion-conscious Fabbies. They come in bright and neutral colors, depending on your support style. Plus, they kind of remind me of the popular House of Holland fashion groupie tees. My fave is the Hillary You Go Girl Tee because it's sassy and smart. I wonder which one CitizenSugar would rock?
Kristin Cavallari went with a black-lace, bra-baring top at The Breeders' Cup Winners Circle Event in LA. She paired it with black skinny pants, and kept things neutral with beige patent pumps and a matching clutch.
