Since 1960, Mr. Blackwell has established himself as a celebrity-style critic by annually listing off his top ten worst-dressed women.
Today, he released his 48th Annual Worst-Dressed Women List, with the note: "For those of you who were expecting to see Britney's name adorn the 2007 list, I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval. I hope 2008 is a better year for her."
And so, without further ado, Mr. Blackwell's top three — do you agree?
1. Victoria Beckham: "Forget the fashion spice — wearing a skirt would suffice! In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty posh can really wreck-em."
3. Mary-Kate Olsen: "YIKES! In layers of cut-rate kitsch, Mary-Kate's look is hard to explain. . . . she resembles a tattered toothpick-trapped in a hurricane!"

Since the writers' strike is putting a damper on the Golden Globe's red carpet (sniff), I thought it would be fun to go back and reminisce about the best-dressed ladies of the Globe's red carpet. I selected a few obvious and some not-so-obvious picks. They run the gamut from long to short, bright to dim, dramatic to simple. Here's red carpet hippie Kate Hudson in a stunning and unique exotic gown in 2003.

The founder of American Apparel, Dov Charney, is being accused of vile language and acts by a former employee.
In the civil sexual harassment case, which begins in Los Angeles tomorrow, ex-American Apparel employee Mary Nelson charges that Charney once had a meeting with her wearing only a strategically placed sock, invited her to perform lewd acts with him, and then fired her when he learned she planned to meet with a lawyer. Already, Charney has admitted during a deposition to walking around his office wearing only American Apparel-made underwear, sleeping with employees, and referring to women in derogatory terms. Talk about a class act!
Brittany Snow's look at the 2008 Critics' Choice Awards is a tough one to judge. On one hand the vibrant turquoise of the Badgley Mischka dress really brings her eyes out, but on the other, the silhouette is a tad outdated. I do, however, like her earrings. Do you love it or hate it?
Katie Holmes graced the Critics' Choice Awards stage with her Lanvin-clad presence. The one-shouldered gown is decadent, for sure, but does it make her look more Grecian goddess or young Anna Wintour in toga?
Call me crazy but I like Kyra's Oscar de la Renta frock she wore to the Critics' Choice Awards last night. I like drama on the red carpet and Kyra delivered just that. The shoes are questionable, but can you really ever go wrong with Oscar?
Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.
