Remember this eco-friendly Larsen Gray Bellara Crop Braid Tank that I highlighted a while back? It's now on sale for $108 (originally $216). Great color and braided detail. Don't be fearful of the cropped silhouette. I envision it working really well as a layering piece. Perhaps a black tank or a turtleneck. Oh, and in case you forgot, it's made of 50 percent soybean and 50 percent organic cotton. Cool right?

All eyes were on the house of Valentino with the recent dramas haunting the house. You may recall Alessandra Facchinetti's quick dismissal following the Spring RTW show. Longtime accessory designers for the house Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli stepped up to the throne. The Spring couture collection was their debut.
Valentino is back in business. This collection reminded me of what Valentino stands for: luxury, precision, femininity. And yes, Valentino Garavani was there and was the first to applaud. You can't get much better than this: “I have to tell you, they did a very good job. It is a collection that is perfect for this very moment,” said Valentino postshow. The clothes were free from fashion-forward experimentation and rooted in Valentino signatures like rosettes, luxurious fabrics, dramatic ruffles, and opulent evening gowns. Some colors were questionable — this taupe bores me to death — but rich Valentino red shined along with other jewel tones. All in all, a fine step in the right direction.

Calvin Klein is no stranger to censorship. Last year, the brand was prohibited from showing Eva Mendes's sexy lingerie ads, and now they're receiving another slap on the wrist. The brand's steamy new Calvin Klein Jeans video campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, has also been banned in the US.

The grainy commercial depicts hottie models — Anna Selezneva, Anna Jagodzinska, and Natasha Poly to name a few — all over each other in what looks to be a old basement. It's definitely steamy, but we've see way worse on TV screens. Calvin Klein is currently working on an edited version that will air on cable. Across the pond, our overseas friends will get to see the uncensored version on their tellies.

Among Stella McCartney's model friends to attend her Paris store opening was the ferocious Sasha Pivovarova. While most guests wore head-to-toe black, Sasha went against the grain by wearing a bright purple wrap dress. She hardened the look with layered chain necklaces and a jeweled headband. I commend Sasha for breaking free from cookie-cutter ways. We can all use a bit of that model confidence!

The opposing force of Luxotica is Geo Max. For the rare days I'm not feeling like an island girl and want to be serious, graphic prints, stripes, 3-D shapes, and polka dots will modernize my look. Most of these equations came in black and white, with the occasional blue, but one of my favorite Spring collections — Dries Van Noten — delivered it in marigold. The happy color made the geo seem less max, know what I mean? Notice the bold accessories though. Michael Kors also delivered his dots with whimsy, while on the flip side, Gareth Pugh took his dolls to space and back. Small doses, or to the max, choose your poison.
