The idea of what icon-in-the-making Michelle Obama is going to wear to the presidential inauguration is making fashion folks giddy. WWD created a story with an extensive amount of designer sketches made for Michelle and the grand event. Michelle is wowing audiences with her bold fashion choices as well as her high/low fashion sense — we anticipate watching her over the next four years. After falling smitten with Thierry Mugler's creations at the Met's Superheroes exhibition, the megastar enlisted the newly resurrected designer as creative adviser for her upcoming world tour. Mugler's not a one-trick pony. On top of designing bespoke outfits for Beyonce, band members, and back-up singers, Mugler will also direct lighting and choreography.
