Madonna's highly anticipated ads for Louis Vuitton are out! The Parisian-themed campaign, shot in LA by Steven Meisel, depicts the ageless pop star in a smokey French cafe looking tres chic in her LV. “She’s so sure of herself as an icon and as a woman," says creative director Marc Jacobs. “What fascinates me the most about her is her never-ending energy, and the idea of becoming and changing. She’s an artist who’s unafraid to use her voice.”
I love the contrast between Madge's classic makeup and LV's ethnic-inspired accessories. However, the brown backdrop and attire are too demure for my taste — but that's just me. Overall, it's a sultry campaign. What do you think?
Love It or Hate It? Daisy Lowe For Pringle The gorgeous Daisy Lowe has been a bit quiet lately, maybe it's due to her mother's sound advice? However, all of the ad campaigns, which she lined up over the Summer, are starting to appear beginning with Pringle of Scotland.
I'm glad the vampy Kristen Stewart continues to promote Twilight — that means we get to see her in outfits besides the ones on screen. The actress stuck to her usual dark palette at the UK premiere by choosing a charcoal gray one-shoulder La Perla frock. I like that the playful silhouette is tempered by the moody hue. A sassy silhouette and bright color would have been too much. On the accessory front, Kristen kept it simple with black pumps, a gold cuff, and a black cocktail ring. And dig her Edwardian coat, Edward would be proud.
After much contemplation, we've come up with our top six contenders for shoe designer of the year. Here are our choices: Christian Louboutin, Jeffrey Campbell, Brian Atwood, Sergio Rossi, Pour La Victoire, and Miu Miu. A nice mix of high and low, yes? Well, sort of; we love our designer shoes. Help us decide who gets the accolade. Divulge — whose designs rocked your soles this year?

Sweet corsets are back. This flattering cut can do you no wrong with its structured corset shape and romantic appeal. I also like how the light boning reminds me of old-school lingerie. I'm swooning over this Nanette Lepore Indochine Dress ($430); the juxtaposition between the sweet style and bold print makes for a radical frock.
There's no doubt Karl Lagerfeld has a knack for photography. He already has campaign ads under his belt and next are calendars. In collaboration with Italian Marie Claire, the Kaiser himself will be creating a couture-filled calendar featuring Eva Herzigova playing a dozen different characters. “It’s about how one girl can be every woman. It’s an idea I love,” said Lagerfeld. “We did the shoot in one night, from 8 in the evening until 8 in the morning.” The calendar will be available Dec. 16 at select bookstores. Fiercest Little Runway Diva I am both disturbed and impressed by little Diva Davanna, America's Next Tot Model. Talk about owning the runway and smiling with your eyes, legs, arms, and, well . . . everything!
Kristin Cavallari went with a black-lace, bra-baring top at The Breeders' Cup Winners Circle Event in LA. She paired it with black skinny pants, and kept things neutral with beige patent pumps and a matching clutch.
