I hope you've been playing dress-up with ShopStyle and Shopbop for the past five weeks. If not, now is your last chance to enter to win either a $500 or $1,000 Shopbop gift card.
This final week's inspiration is ombré, like this Larsen Gray Pleated Top ($238). Start by logging onto ShopStyle and creating a Fall look that corresponds with the two-toned trend. Don't forget to add the look to the Shopbop Fall 2008 group. In order to be eligible to win, you must title your look, describe it, and have a minimum of three items. Read all the detailed rules and regulations, then start playing dress-up!
90210 cutie Jessica Stroup is looking subtly tough in her baby blue leather jacket. Not to mention this jacket makes her baby blues pop. Gorgeous. You've probably already snatched up a black leather jacket, and if you're craving more buttery leather, shake things up with a colored leather jacket. I recommend sticking to jewel tones — purple, blue, burgundy — or neutrals. Let's face it: when it comes to leather, happy colors like orange and yellow just don't fly.
Even though my fashion world mostly lives online, I still revel in glossy pages of glorious clothes and beautiful women. That will never change. Magazines constantly strive to create fantastical images showcasing the latest trends and accessories. Some resonate, some flop. Vogue Paris consistently churns out provocative imagery — most recently their stab at anti-fur crusaders. Now, the mag is showcasing the super Cindy Crawford, shot by Inez & Vinoodh, in all her 42-year-old glory. Geez. In addition to the '80s bathing suits, bold jewelry, shocking colors, and sultry cutouts, Cindy proves she's still got it. Those of you reveling in the early '90s revival, feast.
Tie-dye and fringe are some of my favorite trends right now. This Torn by Ronny Kobo Tie-Dye Tank ($84) melds the two worlds together. The long, lean cut can double as a short dress and the color is dope. However, I'm torn on whether or not I like the two styles together. What do you think?
When being bathed in beige, it's nice to throw in other colors to break up the look. Fab reader rmur is ahead of the game. She paired her beige dress and jacket with a gray scarf, a black belt, and black tights. Thus, she took the look from flat to flat-out cool.
Who can resist sultry satin and lace? Not I. Victoria's Secret is here to add some holiday hotness into our lives. This season its festive collection of goodies includes a fresh palette of sugary plum hues, decadent textures, and menswear touches. My fave is this rose patterned silk slip. Did you notice the cute floral applique on the back? Oh! Don't forget to check out those cute organic panties — the perfect stocking stuffer for your eco-con friends. You have my permission to splurge.
Kristin Cavallari went with a black-lace, bra-baring top at The Breeders' Cup Winners Circle Event in LA. She paired it with black skinny pants, and kept things neutral with beige patent pumps and a matching clutch.
