Beastie Boys fans, this one's for you. Throw on some dope kicks, fly jeans, grab a boombox, and Hey Lady yourself around town like Mike D, MCA, and Ad-Rock. Only, the girl version. Long live the Beastie Boys. If you and your friends are going to authentically portray them, you must not only look the part ("Rock my Adidas, never rock Fila"), but also act it. The Boys are known for their vigilante attitude toward interviewers so your night should be filled with ample attitude ("Cause I'm mellow like ja-lello, cool like lemonade"). To add further flavor, blast "Fight For Your Right" from your ghetto blaster. And some final Beastie words of wisdom: "So this is what I've got to say to you all, be true to yourself and you will never fall."

Help! I've fallen in burgundy bliss. Compared to its racy red sister, there's something about the blood-red handbag that provides warmth and dimension to any look.
This dark red delicacy goes hand-in-hand with Autumn's rich color palette and makes for an amazing compliment to dark denim or a sophisticated LBD. I think I need this amazing Miu Miu Woven Leather Tote ($1,595). Woven to perfection.
Hot on the heels of its Charlotte Ronson deal, JCPenney has found its latest collaborator: Allen B. Schwartz. The mega-retailer has enlisted the LA-based designer to create a trendy and fun collection of dresses and sportswear.
Schwartz describes the collection as California cool. “Today, what is exploding is the antifit look, the crop look, the boy jean, ruffle blouses and the new harem pant. It’s very baggy, very ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ inspired said the designer. The line, set to launch in February, will include an array of tie-dyed knit tops, jumpsuits, dresses, and tops such as the ones seen above. Prices range from $30 for tees to $70 for dresses, and the collection will be available in stores and online at jcp.com.

Shoes have reached an extreme — I love it. You might be wondering, "I thought you were a flat girl, though, Fab." I am, I am. But I also escape reality via fantastical footwear. I have nowhere to wear these gutsy concoctions, or the means to buy them, but if I did, I would indulge (and suffer). Platforms and unstable heels caused a couple crashes down the catwalks, though, so a flat backlash might be on the horizon. In the meantime, feast your eyes on Pilati's cold caged sandal for YSL and more fantasies . . .
