Hot on the heels of its Charlotte Ronson deal, JCPenney has found its latest collaborator: Allen B. Schwartz. The mega-retailer has enlisted the LA-based designer to create a trendy and fun collection of dresses and sportswear.
Schwartz describes the collection as California cool. “Today, what is exploding is the antifit look, the crop look, the boy jean, ruffle blouses and the new harem pant. It’s very baggy, very ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ inspired said the designer. The line, set to launch in February, will include an array of tie-dyed knit tops, jumpsuits, dresses, and tops such as the ones seen above. Prices range from $30 for tees to $70 for dresses, and the collection will be available in stores and online at jcp.com.

Shoes have reached an extreme — I love it. You might be wondering, "I thought you were a flat girl, though, Fab." I am, I am. But I also escape reality via fantastical footwear. I have nowhere to wear these gutsy concoctions, or the means to buy them, but if I did, I would indulge (and suffer). Platforms and unstable heels caused a couple crashes down the catwalks, though, so a flat backlash might be on the horizon. In the meantime, feast your eyes on Pilati's cold caged sandal for YSL and more fantasies . . .

Ellie_K gets props for rocking the latest Fab trend. Her vest is fuzzy and fierce. Wearing it against a light gray palette is ideal for the semi-cold weather. I also dig the nude patent clutch and fun bangles.
Here's what she has on:
- Vest: Urban Outfitters
- Top: Target
- Jeans: Rock & Republic
- Shoes: Vincci
- Bangles: Armani Exchange
- Clutch: Anya Hindmarch for Target
Congrats to ellie_K!
Everyone else, submit your looks and I might feature you on FabSugar!
Neiman Marcus-owned Cusp opened its first few boutiques last year to attract younger shoppers. In fact, my Nicole Richie interview was held at the LA boutique. With Cusp.com, girls who don't have a store near them can shop online any time. Offerings include party frocks, trendy jeans, fabulous shoes, and It bags by the likes of See by Chloe, Lauren Merkin, and more. There is also a generous sale section, so get to know Cusp if you haven't already.

The trick to remaining Fab throughout the seasons is to adjust. Take, for instance, these Yves Saint Laurent Patent Boots ($640). The slick patent finish and low heel make them a perfect candidate for the wet season. See? No need to sacrifice style for function! Alas, YSL comes at a heavy price tag . . .
