Severe plumage. Lavish layering. Exotic undertones. Intrigued? You should be. Marc Jacobs's Spring collection for Louis Vuitton is eye candy at its best. Much like his Spring namesake collection, this delivery is maximist. Pick and choose from an array of luxurious delights and make Louis Vuitton a look all your own.
I'm swooning over the banded and heavily embellished dresses, the sharp-shouldered blazers (not sick of them yet, no), the quirky separates, and the semi-ridiculous accessories. And the plumage! And the colors! And with a chic Parisian flair. While many folks pared things down given the economic uncertainty, Vuitton delivered a high-octane carnival of clothes.

Obsessed. I've always been into all things gray; it's my neutral. Black sometimes feels too harsh, white is too delicate, and beige is . . . beige is so blah. But gray has the ability to compliment everything and comes off as cool and collected. It makes colors pop and tempers icy neutrals. In suede, it's plush, in leather, it's modern. Gorgeous gray is a win-win. Make a subtle statement in these Steve Madden Persue Grey Suede boots ($290).

I just died and went to Lanvin's heavenly candy shop. Alber Elbaz has done it again — he delivered inventive pieces but didn't alienate Lanvin's signature bold colors and voluminous silhouettes. This Spring collection leaves you wanting more. It offers everything from black to nude, to colors like chartreuse, teal, purple, and orange. Yum. Some of the dramatic wide-shouldered silhouettes are hard to work with; still, on the runway they work like magic.
But what I really want to talk about are the accessories. Sparkly necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and clutches demand attention, but somehow don't steal the spotlight from the clothes. A perfect harmony has been created with the stunning clothes and wild jewels. Bravo, Alber, bravo!

UPDATE: Winslet's publicist has confirmed that the actress will not be playing Westwood in her upcoming biopic stating that the rumors are "not at all true.” Vivienne Westwood's reps also denied the claim, “The script has not even been finished yet, let alone casting. Kate Winslet was just one of many names that were mentioned as possibles to play Vivienne, but this whole thing has been blown completely out of proportion.”
Vivienne Westwood has chosen Kate Winslet to play in her upcoming biopic. "The script is going well and Kate will play Vivienne. It has been a long time in the planning but we're very excited that it's happening," said a Westwood representative.

Winslet — note her resemblance to the designer — will spend time with Westwood to refine her portrayal of the eccentric designer. The untitled, Universal production is said to take viewers through the Dame's beginnings as a punk roots designer to becoming a highly touted, worldwide success. Fabulous.

Rachel Bilson continued her Edie Rose For DKNY Jeans promotion tour in NYC over the weekend. While in Florida she went entirely androgynous and in the Big Apple she pulled in a touch of femininity with a colorful silk scarf. I love how she left it untied. Rachel also wore an Edie Rose For DKNY Jeans piped blazer and studded Louboutin boots. The result? Casual cool with a royal finish.
